Black Hat Code Breaker / WP-Guardian VIDEO ISSUE

Anyone help with this? In IE video content seems to play over the top of the Pop-Up Screen we use to lock out content.

I know about wmode="transparent" and it doesn't seem to do the trick sadly... Anybody having this problem, any one know how to fix it?

It's hard to get quick responses from developers, just hoping someone has ran into this already and figured a way around it.

Thanks for your response, I actually figured it out based off a post I saw you posted earlier... However there was something I missed. For anyone running into this issue in IE where your video content sort of hovers about your actual content you need to add two codes:

This issue is for I believe IE7, which is a shit ton of people:

----THIS CODE GOES NEXT TO OTHER <param>'s -----

<param name="wmode" value="transparent"/>'

---- THIS CODE GOES IN THE EMBED ----

wmode="opaque"

This basically forces your video to stay down. Thanks for your interest in helping, and your post on this subject in a similar post helped me go in the right direction. Appreciate it.

Have you tested this with FireFox, etc? Also, have you tried removing the wmode="opaque" from the embed? That code has conflicting parameters. The parameter wmode="transparent" provides the behavior that you want. As far as I know, wmode="opaque", which is the default parameter with some browsers, is what causes the issue to begin with.

I'm going to do some more testing and post up a guide on the blog.

Well, to be perfectly honest. I probably could use transparent on both.

I originally was under the train of thought that putting wmode="transparent" ... with the <embed> would be enough... but,

What I believe is most important is placing the param and the embed commands, TWO different commands must be used. I'm not sure, if they cause any conflicts (opaque/transparent).... I haven't seen any differences so far with the commands I've specified. I'll keep looking into it though.

Thanks for your interest in this. This probably causes a lot of head scratching, I know it did for me, hope we can fix it.
