Good evening all,
After a long time lurking(I even learned this word by "lurking" at forum) at this forum, I finally encouraged myself to get signed up and share a little about myself & goal.
I am from Turkey, and got married 3 months ago (too much details,no? I try to show off how good at writing by exposing myself with my pathetic vocabulary). After an almost neverending parties and nightlife, pre-marriage and marriage created a new guy.
Anyways, to give a brief summary about myself; I am an industrial engineer and work one of the leading firms at Istanbul. Before this, I also worked for some famous global leechers and finally, here comes the part that made me a "lurker" and hopefully a new active user on BHW,
-I wake up at 5.45 and be at home around 19.00 every single day if I do not make any extra hours.
-Yes you guessed it right, extra hours do not pay at all.
- I have a boss who can be analysed as a clinical case for psychiatry.
- Hell, marriage doubles expenses!
So, what I need is to figure out the most time-effective way/method/solution to get some side income. Health insurance, and some side benefits of the current corporation is superb about keeping me a cry-baby masochist slave, hence I pointed out as "side income"(at least for now).
I am familiar with some jargon that goes around here and almost read every single method, newbie guidance that exists under different threads.
So before anybody lynches me as a result of a potential spoon-fed candidate, let me give you my constraints and skills:
Constraints:
- Time, time, time...I will only be available at weekends.
- I do not have time, experience and self-esteem to do some investment for the methods mentioned although some of them needs low amounts.
Skills:
-People generally say I am good at writing. English being not my native, I won't be able to write about Higgs boson, or quantum physics; however by the help of some apps; I guess I will do just fine for commercial or basic stuff in English.
-I have a sense of humor, that can/will be used during writing.
-I learned myself to use Yoast SEO, familiar with some plugins & settings. But at super dummy level.
Goal:
250-300 $ per month
The reason I do not choose Turkish, is because I searched almost every single detail regarding to Adnsense,affiliate marketing etc at Turkish. To give an example, Amazon as a new player at Turkey, still does not have an affiliate marketing program here, so you name how "good" or developed Turkish economy is, or Adsense pays a ridiculous amount of money.
So, as far as I presume; the only exit for me to this side-income dream, is to write content.
Now comes the final part of this "essay" and end my words with two questions:
1) How should I connect with people to whom can be trusted; who are looking for content writers that will be paid in USD/EUR(the power of curency!)? How does pricing work? I read something around 7$ for 1000 words on the forums, but not %100 sure.
2) Or do you gurus have any alternative guidance to reach the goal above, for a dummy level guy like me whose main constraint is the time? Please explain it to me like I am at a golden retriever level.
