Hello,

I am quite new to Adwords and have only been using them for 4 days.

For some reason I am unable to post this in the "Adwords section", my thread is not getting posted, so I am going to post it here.

The first 2 Ads that I ran had no issues of getting approved.

After I changed the text the in the headlines and in description, my new Ad got declined for "malicious or unwanted software". In that text, I included the term "apps/software/download".

After editing the Ad back to the old text, I am still getting the "malicious or unwanted software" decline.

My website is built in WP, and I don't have any malicious plugins, I have checked and google console also didn't report anything. In fact, I only have a few plugins.

My questions are:

1) Would using a new Ads account allow me to bypass this, or was this site already flagged by Google and I won't be able to promote it even on new account? (I could use a subdomain)

2) If the answer is no to question 1, then what are the other possible options? Would cloaking work or would I have to move it to entire new domain? (my website is BH)

Thank you in advance to everyone!

I don't know if you tried it already but start making a campaign from scratch. Try adding a different site in the URL, trying to approve it, delete it and then put your own. I know these are basic things but sometimes basic works. If you still having problems, Try advertising a specific page on your website in the URL.

Thank you for the advice, at least one person replied!

I do want to ask for clarification:

1) By different site in the url, you mean to replace my website with something else, and then changing it once it gets approved?

2) What do you mean by "advertising" a specific page on the website in the url?

1) I mean just approve an ad with a random URL in it. Once you approve it try changing the site

2)For example if you have a store with a collection of items. try referring to one item (www.site.com/collection/item)
