dude u neeed to remember that just because a video is playing ads , does not mean channel is monetized. learn about youtube a bit more please. ive seen a lot of people ask this on support .google website.

u have no way to know if a channel is monetized unless they tell you, or if you see their analytics yourself. ads run on almost all videos whether monetized or not

I have never heard that ads run on channels that aren´t monetized. The only scenario this could apply to is when the video gets claimed by another person

with always answers from experts saying the same thing.

maybe he does not care about money but doing coz he likes it.

remember there are many ways and not everyone does it on youtube for money. some people just create to showcase their art and entertain friends and a small community maybe, not even taking youtube seriously
