I assume rule 1. is not put a link in the body of the post, right? - what else is suggested?I'd personally go for forum links, with them you'll kill two birds with one stone if you do them correctly... you'll get n0follow links and decent traffic to your website.
Also Q&A websites such as quora will do.

OK - good advice, thanks again.I mean you should posts on the forum, show that you're a valuable member by posting good answers and insert links only in a few posts.
Try to be as natural as possible. Also, try to put a link in a long answer so it'll be a link surrounded by relevant content. If your reply is good and useful you obviously put a link in the body of the reply.
If you just post useless replies and add links to each post, you'll get banned in no time.
