Im fairly new to IM. I'm trying to reinvest the profits I'm making back into tools to help me do more. My first purchase was scrapebox, but I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed so far.

Now, it could just be user error, but I've had so many problems with the harvester. Since I'm just learning it, I haven't bought any proxies to use with it and instead, I'm using the server proxies. I understand that this will make it a lot slower, but if I use more than about 3 keywords, the scrapebox just freezes. It will show the last proxy it tried and never make any more progress. I even let it sit for 12 hours without any progress.

The machine I am using is a couple years old, but still has an i5 processor and 16gb of ram. I don't have any issues with any other program I use, including other bots, Adobe products, emulators, etc.

Is there something I'm missing? Is there a setting that I might have overlooked?

How many threads are you running it on and what does your Task Manager look like when it freezes (CPU/RAM usage)

What's your budget?
And what are you wishing to use Scrapebox for? - it has so many uses and each method can be twisted to each be used for many different earning plans.

VPS + rotating proxies will help a lot.

I haven't watched leading up to it freezing so I don't have an idea about what it typically looks like, but once it freezes, my CPU/ram usage looks like there is nothing running, with occasional spikes for background processes.

I reinstalled the program and left everything at it's default to make sure it wasn't some setting I changed and it's still doing it. As to the number of threads, it only ever shows one active per search engine and freezes even if I only use one search engine at a time.

I bought scrapebox because it seems like it's able to do a lot of things. Because I'm so new to it, I'm still learning what all it's capable of. That said, the first project I want to use it for is to build backlinks to a parasite (trying to learn about those as well). As I learn more, I'm sure what I use it for will evolve.

My monthly budget is pretty open. What level of VPS would you recommend? Is there a minimum number of cores? What about proxies? Is there a recommend number of rotating proxies to be able to continually scrape urls?
