Do you think there's potential of making a crypto news site? I can write a lot of articles, but is there any chances? Planning to charge money on promoted articles.

Do you think you could provide much value that isnt free online today? There is your answear.

Also, if you go down that route, prepare to spend some time there. You would have to build a brand which ppl feel safe paying for.
Doubt the generall mass spend money for articles on a site without a reputation and a brand that delivers value.

There's a ton of potential- especially now that advertisers are allowed to advertise for that niche.

The real questions to ask yourself:
  1. Do you know enough about crypto to write daily articles about it?
  2. Are you going for an authority site across many coins? Or "niche" focused on just 1-2 coins?
  3. Will you have enough time to write for your answer to question (2)? To write about any updates for said coins? Can you really handle many coins at once?
  4. Do you think you'll be able to get accepted into GN? Without it, you'll be trying to compete for organic placements against the established giants (still hard even with GN, but you have less competition from all the other non-GN sites).
  5. Do you have enough money to spend on writers if needed- even when the site isn't making enough to pay for them?
  6. Does your site have anything unique from all the other crypto sites out there? Why would investors trust your site over the competition?

Just things to think about. Not trying to derail you or anything, but it's a lot harder than it may seem.

If you're planning to create content on your own, try it out using sample articles with desired kws. And then scale the content part if it's worth it.

It's like creating a website in any other niche, really.

Is there a need for it? Do you know where you can market to bring in traffic?

Will you use SEO or try and go the PPC route for the first little bit?

There are many different variables that will go into the entire process, with none of them coming off as "obvious".

I've been thinking about this too and I just read a post from KamBhai where he describes how he did it.
I'm new in here and I still don't know how to add links to that post but you should be able to find it easily, it might give you some ideas.

Waste of time. Way too late. Already a million crypto news sites out there trying to be the next coindesk.com.

Coindesk is one of the first big ones out there and it sold for a measly $500k. Not bad I suppose but after it was acquired, a ton of crypto news sites popped up. These 'news' sites are all the same. They regurgitate the same crypto industry news, and when news is slow, they publish bullshit price speculation articles which have zero value to any reader. The writing is mostly done by people with little writing experience and virtually zero experience around trading, financial markets, or crypto in general so the content is incredibly weak.

You missed the crypto news website boat by about four years. I would explore other ideas. Or, just become really good at day trading and make boatloads of money the easy way.

There is always potential in anything it all depends how you market it ;)

People in crypto donate a lot
so you will get good money from donation
post all your wallets under every article

interesting idea, crypto is a domain of the future. i think that the success is yours if you will write good articles. good luck!

Maybe to start a site on your own is a bit risky but you could begin writing for a bigger site and make yourself a name in the cryptoworld and then start your own webpage .

Honestly I don't know a single cryptocurrency writer's name and I am one. There's no real big name crypto writers, brands are what get known.. that's also the tough part, but not impossible

You are right but I mean not just the fame, but the contacts, meet people interested in what you do and who you can team up for a new project.

yes there is a lot of potential. crypto exhcnages pay premium for affiliate. many projects find it hard to push their IEO/ICO forward because of the strict regulations at FB ads & G Ads so they will pay premium too for a sponsors articles.
