Hello all,

Looking for advice. I run a website that is utilising scraped content from Amazon, but earns on average $150 a month consistently for 2 yrs plus.

I get the feeling a lot of people on Flippa wouldn't touch this type of site, despite it performing well.

Should I still price it the same as a normal site (i.e. 30x monthly profit) or would I expect a lower multiple due to the fact it uses scraped content?

Any advice where to sell a site of this type would be greatly appreciated.

If I were to buy a website, one that has scraped content but still brings in cash would be a lot more interesting than one with unique content. We all know that good content brings in cash, but I`m sure a lot of us would like to know how you manage to rank with scraped content, because that means that with unique content and your technique you'd be a bomb. And as a tip from an ex flippa seller, if you don't specifically say that the content is unique, so people can call you out on it, you shouldn't have a problem with scraped content. Good luck

Thanks - an interesting take on it, and I agree. But that's not what people seem to be thinking (the ones I have spoken too). It's clear it is scraped - but as you say, still ranks, earns a profit, so I would have thought all good.

This could be your sales pitch tbh. I would use something like "You don't have to spend thousands on content, with my technique you will rank with scraped content, and this is the proof" or something along the lines. Also, yaaay my 800th post, thank you for making me a better forum account with your question.

Cheers man.

Try with x30 and if it doesn't sell go lower, that is how I would do it

I am guessing that your commissions are coming from Amazon by chance? Just curious. Great job!
