Free PR 7+ from Facebook?!

Alright everybody, I'm not sure if this works but that is why I'm starting this thread.

My Facebook profile page has a page rank of 6 or 7. I know plenty more close friends that have those page ranks as well. Some have only a 3 or 4, but plenty have 6+ page ranks.

On everyone's profile, you can place a link and from what I can see there are no "no-follow" tags used.

I have had my website link on there for a few years now and so do my friends. I don't see Google listing my Facebook back link though.

Does anyone know if this counts? I don't see why not if Google has a page rank for all those pages.

I hope this is a new little trick we can use to get quality back links.

Google can't index internal pages on private social network sites like FB, so no, that link doesn't benefit your Google rankings.

Hmm... thanks for the quick reply. I've searched "facebook backlinks" in Google and it seems some people have found ways to use Facebook for backlinks. Not sure if it works though.

I've noticed the high PR too. My profile is a PR6, a group is a PR8.

Facebook DOES use nofollow tags but not everywhere in the Source code. I'm still figuring out how to use the areas that are unused.

You could use it to get some traffic .. but it won't boost your page rank ..

You can make your FB page available to search engines, but what shows up is a page with thumbnails of the person being searched and a few friends. It pretty much just allows people to friend you if they google your name.

As far as I can tell thats as deep as the SE bots penetrate, but I'd love to find a way to use that untapped link juice. Another thing to consider is that its probably most helpful to have it as profile or page information than anything else, because the link would be more permanent than it would be in someone's news feed or wall posts.

How does Jesus with a gun disrespect other races? In fact, maybe he doesnt believe in any religion and doesnt care about offending someone who does?

To be ontopic: I don't think Google will think of a link like that as a PR 7 link.

Before you waste anymore time on this, facebook uses nofollow, meaning its purty useless for search engines but good for link clickers (people)

EDIT: Where did jesus and a gun come into it? Forgive me if I'm not following the conversation... I thought jesus was typically portrayed differently to that avatar.
