skill that makes you $$$

Programming is mentioned a lot, but there is a TON of competition in programming nowadays. 10 year old kids are growing up learning programming. It's tough to get into as well because it can be very tedious. So if you're not into something that's tedious, it probably won't be for you. Programming is mentioned a lot I think due to the community we're in has a lot of programmers that are naturally drawn to it and also it's one of the few things you can learn with just a website and computer that requires no artistic talents or background experience.

I'm also in a bind where I'm overwhelmed with how much shit there is out there. I've decided I need to make money to live before I can really dig into the things I want to learn.

My guesses so far for money skills?
-Sales
-Stocks (fundamental/TA analysis)
-SEO/Marketing

I'm not sure myself though, just my two cents from an inexperienced perspective.

It's not that easy :)

You can't just partner with someone to do all the work and sell. Business is WAY WAY more than sales. You have to be able to organize, manage people, create systems, understand finance, understand growth/scale, understand product development and testing.. There's SO many things that go into creating a successful company.

The only skill that's important in making money is persistence, because anyone at the start knows nothing and the only way you learn is to keep persisting, failing and learning.

Stocks is a GIANT waste of time unless you have at least $10mil to invest.

If you're good you'll make a 12% return, so if you can invest $10k per year, which is WAY beyond what most people here can afford, then you're going to make $1200 per year before expenses.

Op said he wanted to learn a skill to make money, if you had to learn 1 skill, best to learn selling if you want to make money.
 
Learn seo, starting an amazon website and if you like you may even venture into adult, there's money there for sure
 
programming it's best and if you want to make money online the best affiliate marketing but you should have good budget and test and test to get best results
 
Programming is a fair choice. Also, you need clients with stable amount of work. It'd be better to work on a method that generates passive income to keep you posted while you master the skill.

Dude learn SEO with affiliate marketing or learn video editing/creation. Think posivite, imagine your wealth and take action.

It depends what is that interests you? Copywriting, web design, SEO, sales - all good choices. Also, a very bad choice if you have no interest in the skill except to earn top $$$ - in that case you will probably earn nothing. You have to have the energy to learn the skill and to work hard using it, so better pick something that interests you.
 
Id like to learn to market like people on this forum. I went to college got the degree, did the face to face, the sales etc. but it seems everyone here is doing it smarter. There is so much info here its an overload. any reccomendations on where to start? Im looking for the most money. Any help is appreciated

to further explain, im interested in all of it. but low on funds and need a place to start. Personally id like to learn how to scrape targeted segments from fb, li etc groups and present an offer of a product. I can pick a product if I can segment, i just havent understood the tech segmenting side of things. I think I need a step by step starters guide. again, any help would be appreciated
