It all depends on geo and offer. Found my sweet spot. URL shortener traffic... gotta love it.

Cost of traffic: 15 USD + VAT
Earnings: 46 Euro
ROI: Bloody massive.

My first dollars made using paid traffic. Thanks to my very friendly affiliate manager.

Let's dance and get a beer.

Too early to tell. It has varied wildly from 20% - 284% if you calculated that correctly. I hope that after just over 6000 clicks the stats reflect the true ROI now... but this is kinda sketchy traffic.

Hope it holds!

VAT?
And what do u mean by url shortener traffic?
Do u mean it like you monetized the traffic with url shorteners like adfly?
Or do u mean it like u bought traffic which comes from url shortened links and redirected it to affiliate offers?

The last one. Original thread title included the name of the URL shortener but it seems to be a banned term.

Today, in a few hours.

Hah! I wish! For this GEO there is a ton more traffic, but people are bidding as high as 10 USD or more I believe, instead of the original 2.5 USD per thousand klicks.

Let's see how long this holds before the competition gets hold of it...

Btw, that much I can tell: For German traffic you could get a profit too, IF VAT wasn't at 19% in Germany. Hint hint for someone who is in a country with low-low taxes? ;-)

As soon as my CPA network tells me I am on daily payments and the first check comes in.

Already checking out other URL shorteners... ;-)

Pay more for the traffic. Around 9 advertisers are around in the GEO, and they're bidding up to 16 or 17 USD instead of the regular 2.5 USD per thousand clicks.

How can you scale when you pay for traffic?
I would dare to say scaling when you're paying for traffic is in fact the easiest and fastest way to scale your business.

Look up "URL shorteners", signup to a CPA network (might get difficult as a newbie, I guess I got lucky). Ask your affiliate manager for a suitable offer, and start testing on different GEOs.

With a little bit of luck, you will get lucky and your affiliate manager will recommend you something that works. That happened to me...

Update on the adventure: Running traffic over night was a bad idea. Zero conversions, and the traffic slows down. Probably too many people bidding on the traffic in total also, because I get only about 500 visitors or less per hour at the moment.

No way I can go higher with this offer, conversions are too low for that.

Still, a ROI of 10% today, even accounting for the "zero conversion night". Will observe further.
