How do I send a payment to someone on here the easiest way, using Bitcoin or Bitcoin cash?

I have both cash and a gift card. I have no idea how it works, I just want to send a payment to someone on here.

Do you have a Bitcoin wallet ? First, you must have a Bitcoin wallet and load it, then you can pay anyone else who has a Bitcoin wallet, too.

You need to exchange your cash for BTC first. Then you need a digital wallet to store your cryptocurrency. Most of these "wallets" have an option to send payments to other "wallets".

Seems weird at first but it's actually all I use now. Get your wallet and load it up!

It can be anonymous if you buy local bitcoin, but thats waaaay overpriced, otherwise if you are buying bitcoin you need to verify your id and passport

Bitcoin payments are anonymous. Your Bitcoin wallet may not be anonymous incase you've provided docs to the Bitcoin wallet operator.
All Bitcoin transactions are public, traceable, and permanently stored in the Bitcoin network. Bitcoin addresses are the only information used to define where bitcoins are allocated and where they are sent. ... However, once addresses are used, they become tainted by the history of all transactions they are involved with.

I just want to send someone $40, once, as anonymously as possible. Preferably from a gift card I have. What are the steps, both for getting a wallet and sending it? Thanks.

First you get a bitcoin wallet. Google it. There are tons.

Buy some bitcoin and send it to your bitcoin wallet address.

Ask the person you want to send bitcoin to "What bitcoin wallet address do you want me to send the bitcoin to?"

Take the wallet address they give you, and you copy/paste into the 'send-to' address in your wallet.

Done.

From your bitcoin wallet -> their bitcoin wallet

In most cases you have to provide your identity docs to be able to buy btc . Here are some ways I see to get btc anonymously :

1. Buying with cash (you have to find someone who accept or do it online there are some platforms that offer it but high fees)
2. Buy with a stealth PayPal account on localbitcoin dot com
3. Mine btc yourself

Make a wallet on Electrum, get your funds on there, then hit the send button and and the receive address, check the rate on preev .com and also be careful to have enough money to send as there’re fees too. Then send the receiver transaction I’d so he can confirm he received it

Okay, now that I have a Bitcoin wallet...

There really isn't a site where I can enter a gift card's number on and buy $40 or $50 worth of Bitcoin online that way?

Second option is to somehow convert cash to it without a camera or fingerprint, etc. but I'd really prefer to just go to a site and buy $40 or $50 of Bitcoin with the card without having to enter my name, etc. and have that sent to my wallet.

I am in no case giving anyone my identity or documents, even though I'm not doing anything wrong. That's actually a thing? That's a huge inconvenience and to me, defeats 95% of the purpose of Bitcoin.

I never showed my passport once to buy cryptocurrency. Your sources are wrong.

Where do you buy yours from? Since, apparently, lots of people on here say the opposite.

Okay, so after spending much time on various sites that allow you to buy Bitcoin with a credit card, I have not found one that doesn't make you "verify" your identity. Is this a joke? The entire purpose of Bitcoin should be to send money anonymously (even if it can be tracked) and without being able to be controlled. This is hilariously ridiculous.

Edit: Many sites even make you do SMS verification or receive a phone call in addition. I almost fell out of my chair laughing. People actually use this?
