Frustrated with reviving page

I am at my wits end and I don't know what to do.

I have a fashion page with 64k followers that's dying. I get usually 400-600 likes per photo now and maybe one comment. I joined an engagement group to help out but now I barely push over 700-900 likes with 20ish comments.

I've been posting once a day at peak time and I'm at a loss on what else to do.

The page is growing about 100 followers a day which is great but I lose 200 followers a day which puts me in the negative. I don't care if I drop followers as long as I reach a point where the engagement is realistic for my follower count.

I just now started using engagement groups. I used liking automation on my personal account like...back in June and then I stopped. No Jarvee or FollowLiker or anything major. This particular account has no automation as far as I know.

I purchased the account from a teen girl (my niece's friend). She runs a 100k+ fashion account and basically used this as a backup. That's her story. She doesn't know anything about Black hat or automation.

Early october. I even took a break from the account in case of a shadowban. The engagement is pretty decent until around early June. I though reviving a dead account would be pretty easy and this is much difficult than I thought it would be.

I think you picked a bad deal. The account has been on the decline (in terms of the engagement) since July. The published content only reaches a small percentage of your audience.

No, it dropped around June. For example there's a post with thousands of likes on June 8 and then a few hundred on July 13. When I bought it, her bigger account truly blew up so she stopped using the backup one as often.

I recognized that pretty early but I want to figure out what I can do to save the account or at least drop my ghost followers. Even if I did some sort of giveaway or mass DM then that's fine.

You need to have a streak of viral posts to make Instagram pick your account back up. Yes, you can try running daily/weekly giveaways for some time.

So you think the account is limited or in some intense shadowban? One that would have occurred in June and lasted until today?

I don't know when it happened exactly. What doesn't help the situation:

1. A break you/she took.
2. Using engagement groups.
3. The content you post doesn't go viral.

If you find something that works let us know, I have a 20k page with the same problem, story views and posting more viral content seems to help it but its a slow process

I can reiterate that engagement groups will not help this account in the long run. I also agree that stories with votes + viral content etc will only help.

Are you posting via a bot or through the Instagram app / official 3rd party?

My only other recommendation after having a look at your account would be to do some testing with hashtags and try and draw some correlation with particular hashtags and engagement. Some of your posts without hashtags get great engagement for example.

I agree with the above, try some hashtags but not the bigger ones, try with something more in 20k+ to 100k+ around this range and start engaging with the comments more on your followers and on your followings as well. More natural engagement, more more more

everything is manual right now. I am struggling on getting things to go viral if they only get up to 500 likes over a 24 hour period. Any tips?

As I've quick reviewed your account, I'd suggest you to start using:

1) Stories (with polls/questions etc.)
2) Hashtags in Stories & Posts
You should use only hashtags that are around your like average.
3) Add some Highlights --> Interesting facts about your niche
4) Start communicating more with your followers
5) Engage more in your niche hashtags (become an authority within the niche)
6) Possibly get rid of ghost/bot/fake followers (the slow way)
7) Try to write longer captions - test if they perform better or not
8) Track your growth/likes stats...
9) Test content posting for X days, weeks post a few times a week.
After this test, try to post daily and check out the results.

An additional tip, I'd niche down your page even more. Either choose the Art or Vintage Fashion...
