Leasing UpWork accounts to Chinese???

Yesterday saw the thing, that upwork isn’t available in China, but there are many desperate freelancers over there who would like to pay for verified accounts to work on. What do u guys thinks about that?

I know there is another thread about this, where I have replied. My answer is the same, don't do it if it's your own account. If you can make other for them, go for it!

@Sristy well, each month they just pay you for rent and after that all expenses/profit from work is theirs

In theory it could work. Like you said, renting out accounts to them. Language doesn't have to be a barrier, you could just recruit a translator. Has to be someone you trust of course.

In terms of accounts, is there a way to make upwork accounts, like how someone can create instagram/facebook accounts.

Doesn't seem like a bad idea.

There must be a way. People on BHW make hundreds, if not thousands of social media accounts.

To get verified they’ll make a video call with you + they’ll ask for ID photo. So, I don’t really think it’s possible

They have really clamped down have Upwork.


You need to provide photo government id such as driving licence or passport.
They then schedule a video call with you to confirm you are who you say you are.

They also on the call ask you security questions.
