Hey all,

Sorry for the abundance of dropshipping questions over the past couple of weeks, I think this is my third post. But I really need to find this stuff out before I move on with my project.

I was telling my friend today about my dropshipping plan. I was explaining it to someone who had never heard of the concept before and he said to me:

When the person receives their item in the post, won't they see an Aliexpress invoice with the real item price on it? For example if an item costs $5 on Aliexpress and I scale it up to $24.95 on my landing page. Won't they get an invoice that has the $5 price on it from the real supplier? Won't they contact me and ask for a refund?

Just curious how you dropshippers deal with this scenario.

Order 1 for yourself first. You can always ask your supplier for modifications in packaging.

Short answer: no
First of all you can tell you supplier that they should not add any invoices or similar. The only part they will put a price on is the customs label, because that's what they legally need to do. Tbh only a small part of them even put the real price on that label and even when they put the real price on it, no one will ever check it.
Edit: also as you said yourself, that is already your third thread worrying about dropshipping... just start your shop and you will see what problems you may face or not. Most of your concerns aren't really relevant

So I can pretty much just contact the supplier for the product I want to sell on Aliexpress and tell them not to put any invoices into my orders?

As others mentioned it, only the customs label will show some price, which is usually in the $2-15 range, just to avoid customs costs.
It is good to just say to the supplier not to include any invoice.

In some cases, you can even put your store logo inside. Just communicate with them as they're your business partner!

How would that come about? Would you tell them you're dropshipping their item?

I only ask because I've had pretty poor experiences contacting Aliexpress store owners before in the past.

Yes. Why wouldn't they do that? Yet they still sold their item..
But I am not so sure if you're still new. Usually after you got certain sales (and their trust) you can ask them doing so. Still worth a try!

The best way to learn how to walk is walking mate, you'll make lots of mistakes in any project you face in life. So don't be afraid of taking action neither to ask :)

As some have mentioned before just contact your seller, some could even label every single detail with your brand logo if your ordering a good amount of items per month.

When ordering from Aliexpress, Ask the supplier via the special notes to remove the invoice and their store logo. Don't do it in one sentence. You can put something like this

1- Remove store branding
2- Fix or remove the invoice.

In case a customer gets the products with the $5 tag after he bought it for $40, just say that you did this on purpose so they don't pay any custom. You can even automate an email to everyone who bought announcing that you'll put lower prices on their invoices so you 'save' them custom fees.

If you instruct the seller not to mention Aliexpress anywhere then they will send the item without any watermarks.

All such good and helpful information!! Thank you so much, I really appreciate it :)

This is the message I send every supplier on all orders, you can copy it if you want.

"Hello friend, this is a drop ship. Please do NOT include an invoice. Can you also ship this quickly? Thank you friend:)"

Been doing it this way for years, never had any issues.
