Hi,

For a local Canadian website that is offering landscaping services in a Canadian City.

For SEO purposes, which out of a .COM or .CA domain would be more beneficial.

When I search the competitive keywords, there is a mix of .CA and .COM domains as competition.

Also, if you plan to purchase both the .COM & .CA domain, what is the best way to redirect the non active domain to the active website.

I guess you want Canadian search traffic.

Use .ca and refirect .com to .ca version.

Exactly, local traffic from a city and state/province. Thanks for your response.

The amount of .com competitors throws me off.

Of course, you should go with a .CA name. It looks better. You can forward .COM name to .CA at the registrar.

Good luck.

In general ccTLD is better when your business is local. And having the keyword in your domain is even better

Also make sure to build local links as well. Not all of them have to be local, but 50% local backlinks is a good percentage.
