I am with you brother. Success breeds success, even for us lowly bottom feeders (me, not you, obviously ;))

thanks...i feel more motivated now

Glad it helped. Now go make some $'s

Great thread Dave. Glad to see you having success.

Cheers mate. It is the little surprises like this example and the epiphany of what to target that makes me smile each day.

Thanks for all words :) I want to passive income as you. According to your words, we need to easy KW and SEO. I want to ask something, How many articles are on your site?

For this example, I did not have any proper pages, just blank pages and a couple with crappy filler content. As soon as I saw the visits, I put up a single decent article. Made a few sales, so filled out the rest of the site. Not to authority site level. 4 buyer articles, home page, and the rest was taken from expired archive.org articles to give some flesh to the bones. Honestly, compared to normal sites, I did the absolute bare minimum to make it look real only.

This !
Thank you for this thread i thought i would be heading in the wrong direction but this gave me some clarity :)

Start with the easy and work your way up when you have the money coming in.

Why i always read this kind of topics from the bottom to the top ?

You must have hated Poirot, Sherlock Holmes and Miss Marple then! But no one can hate the Dyke, got to love some Diagnosis Murder in the background as you do those monotonous SEO tasks :D

Great motivation!
Really appreciate your effort OP.

Cheers, that means a lot. And I sincerely hope you succeed.

Thanks for the motivation, mate! Good luck in your IM journey!

Your welcome. Still aiming for the big bucks, but baby steps is the way to go, well, according to Bob Wiley anyway :anyway:

thanks ... nice it is very helpful

Welcome, hope it helps.

Thanks for these words man, very inspiring ;)

Thanks made my day.

Reading that was the best part of mine. Actually I lie, seeing the cat this morning with vole in mouth come up to me proudly, then meow to say morning and drop the vole which ran away, and the look of shame on the cats face. That was hilarious. But seriously, what you said was a close second. Glad I could help and I wish you the best of success.

Nice to read about your success.

Cheers, live and learn. Then work harder.

Great, thank you for the motivation.
I learned alot from this forum, Good thread :)

Your welcome. Tons more on BHW to inspire you, just keep reading and a level head.

gotta take the hits to get the wins, thats how we learn
to adapt and change, nice post mate.

Cheers. I feel like a punch bag sometimes, but every now and again you get to land an uppercut and feel like you have just run up the Philly Rocky steps! I just gotta chase chickens next :D

The topic alone has done the job, the content is just an icing... Thanks for this

That is all I can hope for, thank you for reading and with the right mindset you can achieve it all.

Thanks for the motivation man! Definitely motivated me to keep pushing with my IM journey. Best of luck on yours!

Thanks and thanks. That is literally all I wanted, to help others to keep on going. There are times when I thought I was down and out of the game, but keep plugging away day after day, learn from your mistakes and others on BHW and you will succeed. It is all about mentality, a positive attitude. Best of luck to you as well.

I'm pumped right now. Let those who have ears hear! Thanks OP.

Well quoting JC can't be wrong, and although he might not have been talking about SEO. IM with you.

Hey, thanks for the motivation! Can you give some advice or point to great tutorials on how to do KW research?
I just saw a tutorial on Ahrefs alone and I was thinking to follow it. But you say that Ahrefs is not the best way to do it.
Thanks!

Agreed, I used to hate the idea of starting small, because I'm always aiming big, but over the years I've learned -the hard way- that starting small and then grow from there is probably the most solid strategy in the long term.

Great story and even more great motivation! Nice work, really. :)

For how long did you leave the website up before you checked the traffic, a few months or...?

It all boils down to knowing where your boundaries stretch first and not overextending as lack of sucess can be demotivating. When you aim low first, you'll gain confidence for bigger goals. Don't be so pushy :)

thank you. Very motivational. "$10 per day" - for some [me] that would be a life changer.

Low hanging fruit - yes. However how to know what is ;ow hanging fruit? The google KW thing lies through its teeth. Free tools - not been successful with them either. [Not able to afford others].

Get demotivated sometimes, but never give up.

I love the part " The best place to hide a body is on page 2 of Google" .

Gave me alot more reasons why I should be on page 1.

There are tons of decent guides on BHW, a couple of note are

Ahrefs KW difficulty rating is rubbish in my opinion. However, Ahrefs as a tool is excellent to find KW's. But you need to look at the top 10-15 on google as well as using any tool, as this will quickly tell you if you can rank or not.

Absolutely agree.

About 7 months.

Nice thread man!

Thanks

Extremely well said. This is spot on ^

You can get free trials with Moz and this past 2 months I have been using Moz and Ubersuggest. More than enough to grab easy KW's. Even the most competitive products have easy long tail KW's. Remember, you are not aiming high, go for the KW's that no one else is targeting.

Thank you for the good advice, man.

Your welcome.

Thanks OP, needed this.

Glad it helped and best of luck.

My kids would tell you that I have too many dad jokes. This is one of my favourites, page 2 sucks :D
