This post is for anyone who is trying to make their first few regular $'s from IM. Just a bit of encouragement to say, don't give up, you can do it, and once you get a foot in, you will not look back.
Achievable Goals
Personally, I don't find posts about how someone makes $10k a day particularly inspiring because that is so far from where I am at that they may as well be saying they are making $1m a day!
What Does Help Me?
However, what personally keeps me plugging away is the little, achievable experiences. As I think that if I can just do one, then I can make $10 a day. Find enough of them, do a bit of hard work, and I am making $100 a day. Sweet!

Fair enough, I hear you, how did I make $10 per day over the last month?
How Did I Do That?
I created a really basic site earlier this year, blank pages with nothing more than an H1 title, a couple of pages with really crap filler content. Just a couple of hours work for KW research, setup and then leave to age.
Sub 100 Searches Per Month
I totally forgot about it until last week so I checked the KW research again and saw that I was only targeting phrases with <100 searches per month.
I tried to remember why I had decided this would be a good idea and was about to scrap the whole thing, but decided to check the traffic first. To my surprise I was getting 10-20 visits per day for one of the pages.
I checked the competition on Google for that KW and saw that there was absolutely nothing to stop an SEO optimised page from ranking. In fact, there I was sitting at 8.
This page just had an optimised URL, meta description and H1 title, but it was ranking. So, I spent another hour writing an article and sticking on some affiliate links and resubmitted in GWC.
Stop aiming so high, there is easy money waiting for you, with no need for expensive backlinks or creating a huge authority site. Just go for the low hanging fruit.
Yes, I might not be making $10k a day from this site, but it was a really easy $10 a day site, with minimal effort.

Over the last 3 years I have targeted medium to hard KW's with 30k+ searches per month (I thought they were easy KW's when I started, then learnt not to trust AHREF, and how to do KW research properly). And it has taken me 3 years and a HUGE amount of work to rank these sites, but I now do pretty well.
But I wish I was going after the sub 100 KW's from the start. If I put the same amount of effort in as I have over the last 3 years, I would be making $1k per day, easy. Live and learn!
And so can YOU.
Don't Give Up, You Will Succeed
So, don't give up, just lower the bar and aim for the bottom, the easy stuff, because it is better to be number 1 for something that gets 50 searches a month and make a few $'s, than sat at 30 for a KW that gets 30k per month and making a big fat $zero.
Trust me, I have been there, it really really sucks. You want to know the best place to hide a body? Page 2 on Google...

- More importantly, I am making about $10-$15 a day from Amazon affiliate sales. Sweet!
