The problem with Donedeal, Adverts etc is that it is a race to the bottom. Nobody values their time and skills enough and people think a 200 euro 5 page site is the norm. Then they fucking torture you for free changes and updates after...

Not really venting if you're talking sense, Ireland's the type of place where people give out for not getting work done for free

Very true ! It's a real shame as with only a little SEO, many local businesses can climb to the top of local rankings quickly and increase business quite easily.
Yet they don't think twice about the ad every week in the local paper, untargeted and useless.

I suggest you give a free trial, maybe for a couple of weeks. They most likely will see the value the site brings and be interested in the site. If that doesn’t work, maybe widen the area of the search a bit.
Ireland is a difficult market from experience and different to the US where businesses appreciate the value of online marketing. Having lived in the West of Ireland they are certainly behind the curve and not receptive to change. The businesses prefer to advertise on Mid West Radio.
