Does Instagram pay attention to location connection?

I'm currently living outside the US.

If I am growing an account for someone in the US, will IG notice that there are connections coming from both outside the US and inside? (both of us could be connecting).

Wondering if the safest thing is to just connect and grow over 4G, or if I need to use a VPN to the US or something.

Ye location matters. They track ip even proxies dont work. They can catch any ip

They can see your connection location, but I think it doesn't matter at all.

Consider that your customer can see who is using the account.

So, in other words, there have not been reports of accounts being suspended or banned for being used outside of country?

If Insta wants to crack down on people farming out engagement, it seems like this would be an easy target for them.

I know a girl (sex worker) one of her accounts got disabled and she created a new one when she tried to login. Instagram won't let her use the application again.

That makes no sense. Her phone got flagged, not the internet connection.

To get straight to the point: imagine an user making malicious use of instagram from a phone number with 4G mobile connection. Then it gets banned, his IP will be released after some time, and will be assigned to someone else. Now do you really think this new poor Samaritan will not get be able to create an account only because someone casually got banned on that IP?

Of course, this does not apply for residential IPs, or static IPs. If you use your home connection, then there's not much you can do about it but request a new IP.

Also, Instagram may flag/ban IP ranges in some cases, but you're likely to only see that happen on DC IPs, rarely on mobile.

Funny you posted this. I was just wondering about this right now. We're forming a partnership with a Taiwanese firm and will accessing their Instagram account from both the US (us) and Taiwan (them). I wonder if Instagram frowns upon this? It obviously makes no sense if they do, but neither does all the sh*t that Zuckerberg pulls off. It's pretty normal for big companies to hire ad agencies that are not in-house, so it would suck if the agency has to set up a VPN in the customer's country to avoid upsetting Instagram.

Believe me, i work in the adult and too many girls i know suffered from this! the only option was get a new phone or appeal! it happened to me myself but i appealed and after few days my account got back and my phone can use insta again.
