Hello guys,

I was doing my own link building and got my site up in top 10 rankings for the keywords I wanted to. For the main keyword I was on 3rd position.
The competition was using PBN, so I also decided to boost my site a bit with a PBN for the rest of the keywords which I was on 5-20th rank.
After buying the PBN 2 weeks later, the site started to loose rank and also the keywords I was found for started to decrease. I checked the PBN and the posts that the guy made actually the text in the post had nothing to do with my niche. Only anchor text which I ordered, everything else had nothing common in my niche.

I told on the seller to remove the links and make a text relevant to my niche/site.
He did that, but my site is still falling(he post the new links about 2-3 says ago).
From the 3rd position on main keyword Im found now on 82nd poistion..
If any of you had an similar experience like this, please help. Its my first site and Im getting disappointed..

Any advice will help.
Best regards

How old is your website? What kind of anchors did you use? Exact match, partial, brand?
My site is 8 months old, I have all kind of anchor text(naked, branded, exact match). But on the pbn links I used only the anchor that I wanted to boost. I have like 330 total RD, (20 of them are from the pbn), I think the main problem is that the text in the PBN wasn’t close to my niche, the guy was writing random sentences from airplanes to bible..

Those PBNs are not homepage ones, they only stay on homepage for few days and then start to loose power, you should have invested more and brought premium home page pbns.

Actually I bought homepage links, but the point was those links most probably killed my site. As from the moment a purchased them, after a week or two I started losing ranks a lot, even before PBN my site was doing good (3rd position for main kw and after pbn 82nd).

Inbox me the sellers name these won’t be permanent home page ones

Many PBN's from marketplaces are crap. I suggest to slowly build links with 100% original and quality content and brand /naked anchors from legit sites only.

You are right bro, but how do i return my ranking? or its already dead? For brandname im still first on google, but for the rest im falling sooo hard

How long ago did you acquire those links? You can disavow spammy links. Your site is still pretty new. I wouldn't do any nervous moves right now. Just keep buillding quality backlinks and new content. Do not use exact and even partial anchors. Just brand, naked and generic. With time it is highly possible it will bounce back.

Remove those links and get a refund. Your mistake is that you tried to "fix" them. Nope. Once the seller fuck-ed up - ask for the links to be removed. Do not get compensation, do not get "more links" - just remove the links and ask for refund. The truth is that if the seller did not care/dont know how to make them right at first, then whatever he promise after that will be crap as well. So remove those links, and just stay patient - your rankings should come back in few weeks.

As well as getting the links removed, make sure Google reindexes the pages with the (removed) links to your site. It won't recognise that they've been removed until it recrawls the pages, probably several times.

I know this can be controversial, but I'd also disavow the links (before getting the pages recrawled). That's my personal preference though.

I agree with the crawling part - the sooner Google did it, the sooner you can get your ranking back.

The second part depends of how annoying/retard the seller was. I mean shits happen, but if he remove the links and refund me I wont go to expose his network to Google by disavow-ing bulk of his PBNs (thats how Wolf network get burned according to his own words). However if the seller is an asshole - oh yes I will do that in an instant.

I agree with: "just ask for links removal". Get away from it!

If they delivered totally unrelated copy to you, it's simply because they deliver that all the time. To me that smells rubbish, and I can't see copy updates on your posts can change the fact the pbn is trash.

This might help with the recrawling part: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6065812.

You can change these preferences in GSC. :)

He deleted the old links and placed new ones on the same sites with good text now, actually the sites are good, but his bad and not releated content fcked me up.
Will this return the site ranking? Or gotta do something more?
Thanks again guys!

The links have to be recrawled nonetheless- whether you got them removed or got the content updated. Google won't know the difference unless it recrawls your page and links. As your page is already tanked, then it shouldn't (hopefully) hurt it more to if you keep the upadated PBNs. You can try for a recrawl and see what turns up. In the worst-case scenario you can just get rid of the links if even the new content doesn't help. :)

Im asking this only one question from you. How much did you spent for that PBN links? I need true answer for this.
