Have you read the whitehatseo forum in here?

Links transfer life-giving juice and authority to sites. They are also 1 of the many parameters to judge your page used by Google. Better page metrics-> better ranks->more traffic.
Read up SEO & GOOGLE rankings :)

total of 321 pages I don't know which one is best for affiliate marketing and generates more traffic to your site.

To be honest I don't even know what affiliate marketing or link building is

Google's original success was built off using links between web pages as a measure of how important they were: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PageRank

In a nutshell, SEO's have been building links to increase the importance of their page for the past 20 years, to get traffic from Google's Search Results.

Here's some reading to get you started:

Ok, I understand but how would you start building links to sites without a definition of a quality backlinks ?

I see a lot of links in Google but which link are valuable ?

Google used to display a rating of each page in its search toolbar extension. The higher the PageRank was, the more valuable a link from that page was.

All the leading SEO tools, Ahrefs (DR = Domain Rating), Moz (DA = Domain Authority), MAjestic (CF/TF = Citation/Trust Flow) try to replicate this.

You can use their tools to establish how good a link from a certain page will be, as well as the ratings of all links currently poiting to a website.

I would suggest you look up how to use the search bar first!

Fair enough but still it doesn’t answer the question what’s the definition of a valuable link in Google.

I appreciate the advice for other SEO solutions however I can’t use them because It’s unlikely doing proper SEO without a definition of things, especially valuable links.

Read the PageRank formula, at it's most crudes, it's links from pages with the most links themselves.

In reality:

# Each link will have its own individual power rating, and the page with the best total score of all it's links is obviously the most valuable.
# Google understands the context of the page a lot better now, so overvalues links from related pages and domains.

Example (In theory): It's better to have a link from BBC homepage than it is to have a link from the homepage of BHW.

I read it’s pretty amazing Google build an algorithm how humans judge things and based on that and few other rules ranks a page however last year PageRank had an update so your statement is correct but obsolete.

This is interesting, assuming Google understand context better why would it overvalues domains or pages ?
My theory it’s useless having a link from BBC or BHW without context, it’s pretty hard to understand page topic without it.

Link building, simply put, is the process of getting other websites to link back to your website. Building links is one of the many tactics used in search engine optimization (SEO) because links are a signal to Google that your site is a quality resource worthy of citation.

Sure, link building is a method of building the site's backlinks profile. Quality links help create a good site's backlinks mass. Do you have any practical questions?
