Asking for a video testimonial giving them 25% off ?

What do you think of asking the customer for text or video testimonial?
If they decide to upload a video testimonial, I will like to give them 25% their next purchase

Does this sound cheap? in my mind, it sounds well but I don't know how it will be perceived by the customer.

I wrote " We know that making a video testimonial takes a lot of time and energy so we would like to thank you and provide you with 25% your next purchase"

I would do nothing with 25%... 50% and I have to love the product and of course It needs to have an affiliate program. Not sure If I will show my face in a video for only the 50%

Personally, I'm never gonna show my face in a video testimonial If I dont earn throught affiliate marketing by promoting the link (or business), but there are people that may accept it If they really love the product.

Also, I dont know what business or idea are you talking about, just giving you my personal opinion from outside and unknowledge about what business do you manage. The first thing I thought was a course or a marketing / software or tool.

I've played with this in the past... I think the best solution is offering gift cards in exchange for testimonials.

It's an instant win for them, rather than the possibility that they might return to you for a discount in the future.

Everyone loves free stuff off of Amazon!
