Got scammed for 1000 usd for a YouTube channel

Paid him the money thru PayPal. After he sent fake login details. Now I raised a dispute so payment is on hold. Will I be able to make a claim and be eligible for PayPal buyer protection? I read thru the conditions and it didnt seem to include YouTube channel as an item that is eligible to claim . Any ideas to fight this?much appreciated

did you send through friends and family or goods and services? Just keep annoying PayPal tell them you sent it by mistake if need be, you should be able to get a refund.

The best way, is to provide proof on the phone.
I've heard PayPal prefers people to call in about issues, since they can ask questions back and forth rather than taking your 1 statement at face value

I send directly thru his email ...as in I click send and just entered his PayPal email there...but I havent confirmed the receipt so I'm not sure that helps

I don't have experience with YouTube accounts, but I have received a chargeback from PayPal multiple times. Don't listen to the person above, just be honest, no need to lie and say you sent it by mistake (the seller can just prove it wasn't a mistake, in which case you lied to PayPal and the case will be closed). Share all the screenshots of your conversation, the login info and everything else you can think of. Maybe the seller won't even reply, in which case you'll win the case automatically. Just take it seriously, I'm sure you'll be able to get it back. Good luck!

Buying/Selling Account is not legal on PayPal. Moreover, Seller provided false information so PayPal will stand beside you. When this is against their TOS, they will get the money back to the Owner's Account.

Still, I don't know about buying/selling a YouTube Channel is legal by YouTube TOS. If this is legal by YouTube & Seller can Proof that he provided the access details, You will not get the money back.

Hi guys I will provide updates on this case currently the case hasn't been been escalated to PayPal yet but I will do it soon thanks ... btw seller sent me the login details in text file via email but it's fake...but I'm scared he can use it against me to say he did provide login details ....that is all for now

PayPal will NOT refund simply because you went against YouTube TOS.. Buying YouTube channels just like SMM panels buying YT comments, views, likes, etc.. is a big NO NO with PayPal.. It like asking for a refund because you bought bad illegal drugs using PayPal!! I am sorry but your money is gone.
