Followers App Unfollow Issue

I run my own personal Instagram account (only 1). I've been using the followers app to unfollow users who don't follow back.

It's always been working fine but now it's not letting me unfollow anyone. I get an error message:
"This action was blocked. Please try again later. Instagram restrict certain content and actions to protect Instagram's community'

I've never got this message before and unfollowers app has always worked fine for me before. Is this Instagram clamping down on foreign apps? Is there anything I can do to use it again or should I move app?

This is because instagram is cracking down on the unfollow apps/features to release their own.

From what I hear, 89% are down.

What I would do is manually unfollow everyone and when you unfollow them on their profile you'll see "follow back", and you can make a judgement from there whether you want to follow them or continue unfollowing

I wouldn't risk my accounts on free unfollow apps.

Paid softwares are having trouble, trusting free sources long term would be a little ignorant on instagram

Yeah I already got a warning. Annoying because I was using it just yesterday.

It's my favourite way to build a following, but if I can't unfollow it's gonna be a mountain to climb now.

I agree, I'd suggest to start manually unfollowing very slowly.
And if you find a method which works well, make a thread about it here! So we can learn & add our experience to help you learn

Yeah I follow like 300+ accounts that aren't following back. It's going to be a headache finding them.

I even got a warning from Instagram for putting my password into foreign apps, frustrating.

I think I might but I don't want to lose them this quick I just got them, I still want to do the follow unfollow method since I found an effective way to do with but without the following apps that method seems dead. Or very long to do, I might just follow 100 instead of 1000 then unfollow. The smaller numbers will make it easier.

This issue has been persisting with the unfollower app for 3 months already, just read the app's reviews and sort by most recent.. Unfollowers especially has been padding their reviews with bots.
