Google indexing is very fast now.

Wtf guys. How google search console could replace ahrefs? Ahrefs is for checking competitor, websites for link building etc. not for your website. What are you talking about lol

Really, our stores change their positions in google index several times within a week.

On 15th October I have bookmarked my few money website page links to tumbler and on very next day I have observed Google penalized those page by sending them from first page to 4 the page results..

So yesterday night , I removed all those pages from tumbler and my page ranking is almost back- started to get the traffic from it

Also,

I have been seeing my search console data now Google can give you traffic results of last day(yesterday)

Have you guys also observed similar trends?

yes, I've observed a similar fashion. But, not with respect to backlinks. Actually it so happens that, if i update the content on some of the pages, they get a boost real quick, but for some reason the rankings do fall down by 2-3 positions or more.

It takes between 4 days and 4 weeks for your brand new website to be crawled and indexed by google. This range, however, is fairly broad and has been challenged by those who claim to have indexed sites in less than 4 days

They have had many many issues since about a year ago. There are terrible quality search results in some areas. Google is running on the inertia they built in the past 20 years, which is longer than Altavista or Infoseek did. But I've been seeing more and more average Joes mentioning how hard it's becoming to find anything outside wikipedia or quora on Google.

I was just talking the other day about this with a view people who know nothing about SEO/IM how annoyed they are with Google and the results they get on their searches, if they wanted to know what wiki had on the subject they would go to wikipedia themselves. Also the outdated information on the first pages and that they had to be half a coder to get a query that gives them results they are looking for.

If these people go look somewhere else Google is doomed as i truly believe that they are not the only ones with the same problems and these are not online people , these are like you said the averageJoe people.

I think Google also has that data and then some, if they really wanted to they could put Ahrefs out of business by the end of this week.

It is normal to get dance when adding new links or doing major change on the site.

Yes, it's even part of their algorithm to make changes to test SEO reaction. If the links are clean, keep going.

Definitely. Google rocking it and Ahref's is going to fold at this rate.

Maybe they can downscale those fat monthly costs for something more accessible!

Definitely something brewing.

The operational cost at ahrefs must be astronomical. I understand why they charge so much. But Google already has all this infrastructure in place, a crawler 100x faster and data 10000x larger. Google can break ahrefs just like that and they will. No SEO tool shall survive.

Of course the usage implied in this thread is for your own site, but nothing's stopping Google from running a similar service that is 100% accurate since it's Google's own database and algorithms. Google has gone after all SEO tools in the past, why wouldn't they go after the few remaining good ones?

I got the same feedback from average Joe's.

One guy was looking for loudspeakers. He showed me the results, they were horrible....Cuil grade, completely unrelated to the search. Nancy Pelosi was one of the results, apparently cuz she's a speaker....

Another was looking for some martial arts stuff, he showed me the results, there were female models in lingerie in the results....double Cuil.

Haha, as long as they don't start charging $98, $197 and $399 a month for this!

It would be nice to have it all under one centre, however, I just got used to Ahrefs, and would love for it to stay.

If they made it affordable it'd be the best SEO tool out there. Oficially endorsed by Google. Sounds like an awesome idea. I'd pay.

Guys, i have also noticed this in android apps. Search rankings changing within days and hours. So my guess is it probably didn't have anything to do with your actions. Just google shuffling up the results for some sort of A/B experiment.

I have created few Edu backlinks few moths ago. But there were not index yet. Shall I index them using Google search console?
