Ranking issue

Hello Friends,

Two of my web page lost ranking after updating in minor updates in CSS. Do Google effect ranking within few hours because as I updated Css and my ranking get down within few hours.

It might be, but it should get back to it's original state soon.

I still remember that time when I edited one misspelled word on a ranked money page, and it went from something like #2 to #8 for several weeks. I avoid editing ranked pages nowadays.

No idea unfortunately, no one can know except Google themselves. I would wait about 2 weeks and see what happens, and avoid changing anything else in the meantime. I think Google sends your site down in the ranks because of the change, because what if you added some type of malware to the site? I THINK Google wants to evaluate your site again before pushing it back to its original position.

any changes in website might cause negative or positive in SERP but this is quiet hard to believe as you say minor update.

I do think so, google is slow...maybe lost rank for last update.

yeah from now ill avoid change something on the ranked page.. i lost rank from page 1 into page 6.. in a days...
