When G**gle Became so Cheap?

Ever since I stared browing the internet from a young age, I never used a different browser apart from G.

However that is about to change.

Not long ago, people said the search engine has started to bring different search results for every user based on their previous search history. This irritated me a bit but I passed on it as I said it wouldn't affect our experience too much.

However, for the past 2 years or perhaps more I can't help but notice that whenever I put more a detailed query, G brings out only general results. As if the search engine doesn't have the capabilities to find now what a person is looking for.

If you could find concrete answer to your query in the past, this is now long gone, at least on my side.

Let me illustrate - say you search for "how to heal your dog paw" and you want an answer to that questions but G returns you:

result 1 - "Dog Care - X Site",
result 2 - "Why to take of your dog - X site"
and in the same fasion all other results.

This repeats for every query you make. You get general results and no detailed answers as in the past.

I'm now starting to explore yahoo and bing which I always looked at as lesser quality but now tables might turn if they satisfy what the user searches for.

That is very strange. I searched for the exact same query like you mentioned (in non incognito mode, logged in), and it shows me the results that I would want to see.

The worst with google is getting commercial results that arent even related to your search query.
You search for my dog scratches himself and you get top results like, why your dog should eat healthy.
These days I mainly use startpage (google without commercial results & tracking) or duckduckgo if i want really informative results
