Hi,

I have recently purchased an 80 threads package of back-connect rotating proxies at Storm Proxies and I am trying to use them with Meta Scraper addon and it just doesn't get me the scraped results.

Harvester works fine and I made sure I have added my VPS' IP to the list of authorized IPs. I am using the main gateways with Worldwide as the location.

The addon works perfectly when proxies are turned off.

I'd really appreciate any help from @loopline and other SB experts

For me it's working just fine.

Recheck for errors button is what I want to see at any add-on... But maybe its just me.

If you run the proxies in the proxy tester do they give a response and say that they leak your ip or does it say its timed out or 407 etc...?

Due to the type of proxy it is and how scrapebox test works they will not show as anonymous, and they are not supposed to. All we want to do is first make sure they are working, so if it says it leaks your ip thats a response that means its working as it should. If it says timeout or not authorized or 407 or 403 etc... then they aren't working at all and yo uneed to get them working with you machine first.

If they do say leak ip that means they are working so we can proceed to the meta scraper. do you get a 503 or some sort of error or ?

Ignore the proxy test and just use them. But you don't need proxies at all in the regular meta scraper only in the google meta scraper.

If your using the regular meta scraper just keep connections to like 2 and randomize your list of urls, assuming you have a nice mix of different domains, and then use it. I would never use proxies for this, it will just slow it down and reduce the accuracy. That said, if its all 1 domain and you have thousands of urls from the same domain, then you could use some private proxies for this.

hey loopline
first of all thanks for all the help i see you are doing a great job on youtube and here on the BHW community and i appreciate your help!
about the meta scraper im not going to fetch few queries, let's say :-) also my queries are complex on google and im running around 1K
so google is blocking me, even i can try your suggestion as well ... maybe i will be a surprise
problem is not the speed in the backconnect rotating proxy i already got.
honestly, i don't care to put scrapebox all night (and day) as long as it provided the results.
im really new with this proxy (even i say your movie about proxy scraper) and took few payed proxy already but all just not good enough.
for example im not quite sure what is the different between dedicated and private proxy ? also the idea behind rotating proxy sounds nice but results was almost nothing ... (it was much better with no proxy at all)

The different proxy types have their ideal uses and no proxies too.

So for harvesting from a search engine or yellow pages, reverse/rotating/back connect proxies are ideal for the price.

For anything else that requires accuracy and requires proxies, private proxies are best.

Then for the rest no proxies are best.

To be honest the biggest bottle neck I See for a lot of people are they are using proxies when they don't need to and that slows it down.

Dedicated and private are the same. Shared private or shared deciated are the same thing and very similar to fully dedicated, but you share with a couple/few people and thus the price is less. Thats what I mainly use is shared for like posting and back connect for scraping.

Also if your going to use back connect proxies for things besides scraping the search engines some provideres offer more stable server based proxies that have a slower rotation time and those would be better suited to accuracy tasks then your main change on every request back connect proxy.

Easily ignore it, some rotating/backconect proxies provider block the ping and speed test or only open to some of websites via the

I use excellent private proxies, but Meta Scraper addon cannot find any url.
Is this a working tool?

Same issue with google meta scrapper addon, doesn't work with storm proxies...

It does work but your just having so many blocked ips that its exhausting all the proxy retries and then skipping that query. Its just part of it I guess, you would just need to keep running the failed ones until they all complete.
