question on source anchor and target url is an IMAGE

one of my competitor is having thousands of backlinks with blank anchor and target url is an image. I am looking for the same type of link as him. if someone can help it can be good.

Are you checking the backlinks with Ahrefs? If yes, it might be possible that these are backlinks created from spam websites and not by the owner himself.

Check out the sites on your own, and see if they're real sites or just spammy ones and you'll figure out.

I believe what I'm saying it's true as I've seen many sites that get their power from image backlinks like the one your explaining.

Just because you see them, it doesn't mean that the ower of the website intentionally created them.

Those links are usually gained by "Designed by XXXX" (such WP themes for example)
