Best way to hide links?

Hey!

Is there any good working method for hiding outgoing links on a page?

YES! I know this is blackhat and is risky.

But what I'm looking for is a method that is not auto detected by the crawlers. Anyone got any experience of this in 2019? z-index undetected? font color same as background? maybe some javascript?

Im not talking about blocking crawlers.

No I want some outbound links not to be visible on the page

Why is that? I am sure most methods for doing this is automatically detected, like cheap css tricks.

Those are two different things altogether.

OP, not many people are still doing this as crawlers are doing source crawls too and any sort of link will get picked up unless you tunnel it in which case, you’ll still get caught. I’m sure there are ways that people are getting by though.

Few years back I have created a simple algorithm which was able to find such links by ... creating the web screenshot.

The idea was pretty easy - all background of links was changed by JS script after full site render for specific color.
As next step - simple test, if chosen color exists on image - link is visible.

If mentioned color not was exists on image - it was clear that links are hidden.
Very resource hungry algorithm, however no chance to hide even single link.
No matter which CSS/JS trick was used.

Because Google have a lot of clever developers.
If I can create such algorithm - Google can too.
