Hello,
How much do you charge for a website for their SEO? Both onpage and offpage.

Hello,
How much do you charge for a website for their SEO? Both onpage and offpage.

There is honestly no fixed price. I work on an of average 467 USD/month which are mostly local business clients.

My minimum is $750 for local (per location), $2000 for enterprise.

Well, it was. I'm getting out of the entrepreneurial game. Just got an offer I couldn't refuse from a company I white label for.

Thanks I appreciate this. It is not a local business but a new startup that wants to market a productivity tool for conferences.

How much will you think to charge a start up?

Err depends who you are....

I personally charge per hour as a freelancer at around £40-60

When I was agency side the fee was £800-£1,000 per day of work...

I recommend not working with startups until they get vc money. In my experience startups are too chaotic to stick to a strategy for 6-9+ months, and if they're niche enough they'll have a hard time getting traction. On top of all that they need conversions now, and in the tech Saas space (my specialty) the sales cycle usually takes a few months.

If you're committed to this though. I'd recommend making paid ads a mandatory part of the service. This was you can get them traffic right away while also finding out who their actual audience is (they probably haven't segmented out their audience and built out personas, have they?)

Depends on what you're doing, but I'd say $2000 for SEO and $5000 for paid is a good start.

I spend only 100 dollar per month.

Wow I like this method. Thanks a bunch.
I will be doing On-page and Off-page SEO for the new Website and Content Creation. I will also advise that we run some PPC to get things running

I'll echo the sentiments above. Having worked client-facing and client-side for startups, you're best to avoid them until a decent funding round comes through. They're absolved from many of the same contractual responsibilities of an established business which can make retrieving overdue money difficult.

FYI. It's perfectly normal to ask about their funding position before undertaking work for a startup.

My prices for SEO agencies are based on SERP rankings in 4 ranges: #1, 2-4, 5-10, 11-20.
Additionally there is huge price range depending on niche, keywords and competition and of course depending on company.

Cheers, Greg.

I have tried some SEO services with no results
My idea is if someone knows SEO he will work his own sites rather than working for others
so i have determined not to outsource
I am trying to learn SEO myself for my websites

I don't provide SEO service but I think nothing less than $500-600 should be charged for SEO these days.

Thanks for making this thread. The responses here really gave me some good insight. I've struggled with deciding what to charge customers in the past. I decided to charge my most recent client 500 a month though and judging by these responses I'd say that I'm in the right price range given my area and services.

Work on their own site to what end? Not everyone is looking to create an affiliate or drop shipping network.

I have started client SEO this year and I charge 5000/m as my agency retention and tailored packages can go Upto 30k per month as the niches which I take are not local or for start ups.

They make serious money when they are ranked, and I have a lot of experience in ranking the sites in the niche I work in (which i show my clients too)

I decide campaigns according to the work that we have to do mostly and how much input I have to give.

If the work is done by an employee, I charge $30 per hour (approx) and if the work is done by me (funnels, onpage, structure and stuff) then I bill them $500-1000 per hour(approx) for my time.

Well we have 3 clients only but all are high tickets and I love working with them!

I do bespoke SEO service for other people who are referred by these people too (mostly consultation at 500-1000 dollars per phone call or strategy setup for a company's in house SEO)

But there's a catch, I don't work in niches where I haven't ranked anything of value. So that sets me apart from others who are trying to pitch my clients.

My clients get 3-4 SEO calls every day and most are too stupid to be honest. Working on pitches is important, case studies are important and getting the client to trust you is #1. He will trust you once you give him awesome ROI. Think about ROIs ;)
