Does GSA SER still work in 2019?

I would like the opinions of BHW users about GSA SER.

I use GSA SER since 2013 and I feel like the developer does not care anymore about updating the engines to successfully post and create accounts on Tier 1 platforms like forum, bookmarking profiles.

I have investigated and found that GSA SER was unable to create account for phpBB forums. However, it was simplistic. I discovered it still uses HTTP rather than HTTPs when crawling google (very obvious traffic that can be detected).

I found that GSA captcha breaker received captcha from GSA SER and labeled it as unknown captcha while it was captcha from well known opensource forums that really didn't change anything to their forum registration since a while like fluxBB

because of that, I spend lots of 2captcha bucks for nothing, because GSA SER misses 99% of the forum installation.

What do you think?

Yes, it's dead for most of people who don't know how to develop custom engines for GSA ser, because the pubic engine is burning really fast due to the large amount of user basis.
I contributed one engine to GSA ser, and it didn't take too much time to burn my engine... so I stop contributing anymore, everything works fine for me so far.

P.S. if you find any new platform that allows to posts contenxual backlinks, feel free to PM me, I am interested in developing a engine and share it with you privately for free.

xrumer specialises in forums.
i think you can edit engines and make new ones in GSA
captcha breaker in my case worked better when i had ton of captchas already saved/learned from someone else

BTW, you don't have to use 2captcha to resolve the captcha, the XEvi from Xrumer works fine in most case.

GSA Still works Well if you know the proper Way How to USe it ...!!!

Use Xevil as secondary captcha, they also have Recaptcha V2 solver

this is how I use it
use wiki and article as backlinks to my tier 2 links
then blast those wiki and articles with blog comments, forum and guest posts (this is my tier 4)

Are you saying that you use your Tier1 as your buffer or you still have a buffer besides that?

From my little experience with SER so far, I can agree with you totally on this point. I don't blame Sven at all for this as what he has done is basically create an engine for us to use in carrying out of duties.

If the engines in SER were to be updated regularly, you bet that the tool will become useless in no time at all. So I think Sven is on point keeping it the way it is. He makes regular updates to the functional of SER as whole and that should be well appreciated.

As regards, customs engines, besides the Scripts Manual, is there is any sort of audiovisual guide or any other guide you can recommend for newbies like us to learn from.

Since June 2019 situation has evolved. I kept on posting many GSA links and I found out that Google only recognized "articles" postings.
I have heard John Mueller saying that they didn't count links from forums anymore. I can see it.

So, it means that your TIER 1 should be quality websites only => blog posts, little postings like bookmarks but with a text, wiki...

Strangely enough comments are recognized but it is like playing with fire to use comments as TIER 1.

In fact, I think that GSA SER can only be used for TIER 2 and the best would be to manually make your TIER 1.

It still works to one who knows its functionalities. But I would agree that their product support isn't the best out there.

Google now ignores many links.

Thanks for the elaboration and I must that does require some amount of work.

I've somewhat been of the opinion that with good manual spun article that are highly readable, GSA can be used for building links at Tier1 level.

Looking through the profile links of many of those in the top ranking in my niche, I find that well above 75% of the links coming to their sites have hugely spun article that are not really that readable and yet these sites are ranking.

In my opinion, I believe that articles can work in Tier1 if the content is hugely readable.

Regarding your Tier1 structure, how many Web2.0 for example do you normally setup under it?

Would appreciate your further comment on the above.

I've not tried this direct method for a while, but it has worked time and again for me in the past. Think it's time to give it another bash!

I think that the GSA SER developer should drop the engines that are useless. There are many engines that either don't work, either they only create nofollow, either they are ignored by Google.
We should focus only on the engines that work.

Most people only use GSA for tier 2 and lower sites. I use a highly optimized implementation of GSA along with custom footprints and footprints from a couple select, private networks.

GSA works just fine for me and i've been using it for years. However, if you want to use GSA-SEREngines to create web2.0, Wiki, Bookmarking, Webprofile,.. etc. with high authority websites. RankerX really is better option on the market. It has also a lot of different link types including web2.0, edu, bookmarking, Press Release, Google Place, shorteners, wiki, pdf and more.
