There is nothing perfect in this world.
I dont respond to forums now, was checking all accounts and came across this site.

Each and Every Site has business to do: They do all gimmicks to make bucks.

There is nothing readable in true about SEO, as algorithm/AI/paterns changes. (which majorly demand country-wide change) .
Every new country = lowest set of RED LINEs.
ETC. ETC.

Rest is brand based things (where SERPs make $$ (not to condemn any search engine but this is business))


Read stuff about SEO/SEM following few site(s) invest in domains (read about same) host them appropriately (read about same), do needful after hosting (read about same), keep updating a lifetime (read about same).
Yes, everyday work...


Edit: The more you work hard positively, the BEST you achieve in long time results.

AFAIK, Google patents are the best and trusted source to learn how working Google search engine.
Its far away better way than listening tons of fake SEO gurus.

Whatever you read from anyone could be true or false, including from google themselves. Even google patents, only google knows which ones they are using and how.
So read as much as you can and test yourself to make up your own mind.

Agree. Most of their posts are just for beginners.

To the OP's question, I think following Google's Webmasters profile on Twitter to see new official updates & staying active on BHW is quite enough.

If your destiny is the SEO and if you want to be in SEO elite (in context of effectivity and safety) - there is no other choice.
And if you want achieve it, you should spend at least 10 years for hard work and nice amount of $$ for tests.

In each other way - you have millions of SEO "professionals" which have same knowledge as you have.
And you never know - when and for what Google will ban you.

That is the reality and huge difference. However it's your choice.

In your case, much more you'll achieve by learning how to write interesting article and get attention on it, instead of learning the SEO.
Plus increasing knowledge and experience in your niche.
