Youtube compilations and clips monetization

Recently i uploaded a short clip from a netflix special to show it to some friends, and it has been increasing exponontioally in views, right now it has 100 000+ views

So it got me both interested and curious because of how easy it was, how do people with compilation videos and movies/cartoon clips monetize their videos?

Is there money to be made from this? if so how? and are there any risks? give it to me straight as to what to expect and how things work

that's what i figured, but i'm not asking solely about youtube ads, i'm asking about the strategy behind them and if there are other avenues to make money from them, because all these people cannot be going through the hassle of uploading these videos just for the fun of it

your best chance is that you get affiliate links on descriptions and comments, and on teh video itself, but forget about ad revenue


but i can tell you, the copyright tool doesnt detect certain videos, cropped, flipped, downresed, mixing it up... if the copyright tool doesnt detect this, then how can it detect it is not prone to be monetized?
