I use ubersuggest every time. It's free and good for long tail keyword research.

Rank tracker for me for their large database for keywords. Pretty comprehensive but the application interface may be a bit of a challenge.

Since Keywords Everywhere is going Pay to Use soon, I'd say UberSuggest is a good one. I've never used it extensively, but it looks decent enough. Another tool/website you can use to get new keyword ideas is Answerthepublic dot com. Look for an old, grumpy, hipster man on the home page. That's the one!

Whilst it's true KE is becoming paid I'd argue it's pretty much free for most users. They estimate the average member uses 20k of credits per month which is $2. Extremely cheap compared to paid keyword tools.
