I have bought a domain with a live website, but I don't really know where is the catch. The domain itself has very decent metrics and traffic, according to ahrefs. My plan is to transfer all the content and add some more. The only things worry me is a DMCA logo on the web, plus the content it was rather negative pointing out some sort of scam in the beauty niche. Any ideas or thoughts would be much appreciated of how to monetize the website.

The content on the site that you bought was negative? Or there are other websites saying negative things about your website?
Is the domain penalized by google? If it's not, then it might be worth working on.
If it's a big website then just having a couple negative mentions on the web might not be too unexpected and might be fine. But depending on how bad the allegations are then it might limit how far you can grow the site, unless you can eventually reach out to those other site owners and explain that you are a new owner and for them to change their link or something.

The content is negative ( about 30% ) it's about pointing out some scams in the niche. Besides, it has quite good metrics and traffic. Not penalized by google and almost 300 pages indexed.
