Clickbank journey so far

I started with affiliate marketing about 4 months ago and after I saw no results I quickly lost my hope and I gave up. After all, it was too much money for me to earn, and I had a limited mentality.

Average wage in my country is $400/month, and seeing some people make $400/day was simply amazing for me. However, still no results and I gave up, accepting that I have no chance to earn money online and I have to get a real job.

But 2 weeks ago, a question popped in my head: What if, even if the odds are negative, and nothing works out, I never quit and commit 100% to make money online, even if it will last for one week or one year. And that's what I did, restarted my affiliate journey and worked like 10 hours a day on promoting the products and doing research.

I am in spirituality & new age niche, with a law of attraction course that costs $47 and I get $30 in comission.

Firstly, I created a new account where I also created a facebook page of a blog I also started from 0 (however my english is average and I have no creativity, so I just copy & paste articles from ezine articles, put some photos, affiliate links and at the end I credit the autor with his link).

After a week or so, my facebook ads account gets banned, and my account is suspended from posting to facebook groups for 4 days (which eventually will repeat over and over). Anyway, facebook trafic was ineffective for me, with indians and nigerians that don't even know you have to pay for the product or that you need a credit card (one guy told me some adress to meet there so I can give him the product, lmao).

I started a Pinterest page, and I repinned in my boards like an animal. Followed about 50 people/day aswell, and creating some pins with my blog links in them.

Started an instagram page with cash photos and money visuals, where I promote a make money online with youtube course. I only have 300 followers but my photos usually get 2.500-3.000 impressions. Still doing follow/unfollow method.

Reddit was the big hit for me. I joined spirituality subreddits and I reached hot page in some of them where I also had the link to my blog (managed to get 100-140 hops that day to my blog). Also, my product had about 20-25 hops/day, still no results. I tried to DM people on reddit that had a problem in my niche, talked for about 20 minutes and before the end, I link my product telling that this helped me and my friends and other stories. Most of them don't reply back.

One morning I woke up, and as always I checked my clickbank account to see if something happened.
And yes, it did.

Someone from NYC bought this course, and also bought an upsell.

While I was sleeping, I made $62.35. Almost a quarter of the minimum wage in my country. I was so happy, and I still am, however I will probably invest that money back in ads, if I figure out how to properly set them.

So yes, after 2 years of trying to make money online (was into crypto business and freelancing) and 4 months of trying affiliate marketing, I made my first sale. This is a motivation for me, a proof that it is real and if you believe it, you can achieve it.

Feel free to discuss in this thread your opinions, your journey, and also some tips for me if you think I am doing something wrong.

Well done, often the most important thing is the belief that it's possible. Once that's there the motivation and work rate will soon follow. Have you tried promoting cheaper products to help get your foot in the door?

Ok so literally 2 minutes after I posted this thread, I got an email from Pinterest saying that they suspended my account. 624 monthly views and 115 followers, not a big lose to be honest, but I don't even know what to feel now - is everything working against me or for me?

Well done, often the most important thing is the belief that it's possible. Once that's there the motivation and work rate will soon follow. Have you tried promoting cheaper products to help get your foot in the door?

I try to promote products that have low refund rate. I don't want to make millions and then give it back the next day. However, I found a thread here about some iPac T-Shirts that are free and you only have to pay for shipping, which is $9, but has a big refund rate and I also can't promote it on reddit, they delete every post.

It's just an obstacle, you just need to keep finding work arounds.

As for low-refund rate I can relate I guess in your niche there may not be a variety of products to choose from that fits your criteria. If you have a sale then I guess you could try basic videos on Youtube (like slideshows) and maybe even Instagram/twitter if you know how to use them. You could use a website like Canva to produce some nice photos with text inside and them promote your product eventually.

You could use your Youtube channel to help promote them. It'll be a slow process but should be steady. Key thing is to gain trust and a following.

Thank you! BHW represents 30% of my source of information, so I definetly learned something valuable from here.

I only linked my blog in my pins, so I would guess they suspended it because I did about 100 follows/day (but I did them in 5 minutes) or because I also pinned 100 pins in 5 minutes. Not a great loss though, I am not trying it again soon.

I was thinking about creating a youtube channel with fail compilations, but I don't know what product I can promote on such a niche.

You think too much about money...like you are super lucky that people earn $400 in your country. This means the burden to make a living and depend on IM is so much lower than in Germany, US, Canada, France etc.

Threat it like a business. In order to earn money you need to provide value, but first of all you need a set of skills. For me it looks like you jump from one method to another. Sharing stuff on pinterest, reddit or making facebook ads might be a good way to get some quick results and earn a few bucks, but its nothing for the longterm.

And first of all you should work on your mindset: consistency, discipline, ambitiousness, persistency...this are attitudes you need in order to be successful in IM. Not only in IM, but also in many other fields like sports or even video games. Not like: "Oh hey, just set up this affiliate site, spend 20 bucks on FB ads and didn't earn any money, so lets drop it"

The currency difference is pretty big, and I am very happy that I can do something and be paid like a first world country citizen. And I will make good use of that, because after a while, with very little passive income I can ensure my survival without doing anything (of course I will still do something).
I appreciate your advice, and I will take note of it. I see everywhere people that struggle at a regular job, and they don't have time to focus on their side hustle when they come home after 8 hours of work. I just want to ensure that small income, to earn money online, so I could use 24h the way I want - that means, sleep and reseach. To be honest, I don't think I could even had a chance of setting up this whole affiliate thing if I were to work in real life at a regular job.

After survival necessities are taken care of, I will indeed focus on expanding my business and perfecting my skills. I know this is just quick money, and a famous youtube channel or instagram page will do more, which takes time to build, I know. But I think wonders will happen if I were to invest 10 hours everyday into managing them. Regarding value, at first I only spammed my links but now I try to help people aswell. I have high knowledge in my niche, and often I help people even if they don't decide to buy. Because to be honest, I wouldn't feel good if I were to make money without helping others.

This is what I want to do all my life, and I am working on it for 2 years now. For now, I am happy that I got my first results, and I know I have to continue on this path and never give up.
