What are your methods to get more people to engage with you and your content???


I run an art account and man, I swear I feel like I have tried it ALL!! I am the epitome of a struggling artist it seems. Smh


I have ran contests, Ran targeted giveaways, deleted fake/ghost followers, utilized specific call of actions in my captions, posted fanart, posted polls, posted stories with that slider emoji thing, asked specific questions in my stories like: "What kind of content do you want to see more of on my account?" I even DIRECTLY asked folks who I know specifically consumes my content but absolutely refuse to speak up.....

And yet, I'm always left with radio silence and the same 10 accounts engaging with me over and over again. I have 26.6k followers ‍

The silent followers who I directly ask their opinions usually just read my messages and never respond or they respond by saying that they don't have anything to say. I even had someone block me recently because I've had a run in with them before for consuming my content and not speaking up even when I specifically ask them their opinions about something. Which is weird because isn't Instagram a social app? Shouldn't you engage with the stuff you like? Or unfollow the stuff you don't like or are neutral about? I mean some of these people have never even double tapped on my stuff let alone leave comments. Smh

This is the part about my Instagram account that I simply DO NOT understand. Why does it seem like I'm pulling hairs and teeth to get people to talk to me!?

What would you do if you were in my shoes at this moment? Because I'm not going to lie, I have thought about deleting my account more than once in the past few days.

I have checked your account and it seems you have pretty good engagement at your instagram account. Most of your posts gets about 400 likes, that's about 2% from total followers amount. I think good result would ~5% so maybe you just have a lot of followers, who do not use instagram. Talking about stories, check some numbers, how many people watch it, try to be consistent cause it is one of the most important factors at Instagram.

I made another forum post about this recently. My story views are extremely low for my account. I'm only getting 150-200 views per post. And for some reason it NEVER goes above 230 views.

That's super strange, do you know your audience? Maybe they follow thousands of other accounts and your is simply lost down there?

That's the thing, I thought I did but I'm not even sure anymore. Around this time last year my stories were reaching 600-800 accounts. I'm not sure what happened but I am no longer reaching that many accounts no matter what I do.

Ever get action blocks or use automation? I wonder if insta is limiting your reach

I used to use Automation but I stopped a while ago. But I don't necessarily think my reach is being limited as each time I check my impressions it always says I reach 1k-2k accounts damn near everytime.
