Disavow foreign EDU backlinks With higher authority?

I'm sitting here digging through ahrefs, and I realized that a lot of these back links are from foreign universities in a foreign language, but with high domain Authority. In your opinion, should these links be placed on the disavow list?

Well, because these are in a foreign language in a TLD not compatible with my english speaking audience. I understand that these types of links can be detrimental, according to some. This is my confusion. I am not sure how I got these links...

Yes, I have these edu links to what appears to be legit universities in Brazil and Malaysia. They seem to check out legit in Ahrefs and Moz. Somehow I landed these several years ago, though I am not sure how. Your input as to whether I should keep for disavow would be appreciated.

Well, I already have a number of edu back links from a number of prominent universities in the United States. I was always under the impression that if you have a back link that is from a website in a completely different language from a completely different TLD, then it could be deleterious. Does literally nobody have direct experience with this??? I know I'm not the only one!

In case your business has a great media list, besides .edu sites, and given you have maintained link diversification across channels, you ought to keep 'em.

If not, I think you might want to disavow it.

People have different opinions about different things in SEO.
You ask 10 people, 5 may say disavow, the other five not.

The real question is: Why you want to disavow? Did you get a penalty or what?
Unless your site got penalized, I don't think it is a good strategy to disavow any links.

Don't worry keep these link, Edu links are really helpful and don't worry about other languages, if they are very less then thats okay.

In some situations foreign links *might* be detrimental but I don't think that would be true for an educational related site.

Almost by definition universities are very intertwined throughout the world.

If the links check out it would almost certainly hurt your domain (slightly) if you dissavow them.

well, I suppose I can keep them then. This was a topic that has not been well covered. The back links are linked to some crappy spun post. I honestly do not know how they got there, as I have not really been paying attention.

Yes, it appears that I have some sort of algorithmic penalty, as when I started cleaning up this eight-year-old site, it wasn't even in the top 100 for almost anything, despite having premium content and being fairly okay optimized and very aged.

I suggest don't disavow those links as they are only helping your website.
