Have you ever tried ranking keywords in the financial sector for yourself or your clients i.e. insurance, investing, gold, money, credit cards etc. Have you been successful or no?

With regards to pbns, I'm linking a pbn with high DR, RD, DA, TF to my money site that is not relevant in that niche for the most part, would that be a good idea or no.

We tried and we did, but finance is not our main focus at the moment.

We're more relevancy oriented these days. However, combine it with power and you have a winner.

I don't suggest you follow high metric domains as a rule of thumb. Quality over power. Signals, not noise.

Oh and also with expired domains, if they have been used before as a pbn should I bother picking it up or not.

Theoretically you shouldn't, but if the domain wasn't penalized, you could try testing and playing around if you have the time, money and enthusiasm.

Hey man, thanks for the reply.

If not for metrics, then how do you determine which sites are good for a PBN? What is a good cutoff point to say yeah this one is good and this one isn't.

Do you look at the backlink profile to see if there are unique high metric domains linking to the expired domain/auctioned domain?

Relevancy, quality and quantity of the links - all that really matters.

Combine the three and you've got a winner.

Due diligence won't hurt either.

Not sure if you are still replying to the questions on this thread, but i would love to get an answer for the following questions:

I spent around $3k in the past 10 days buying auctioned domains from godaddy. I started testing them, some did well some had the 'natural effect'. Unfortunately, i did that before reading your huge thread about why testing is a waste of time and you get inconsistent results.

I have around 6 money sites, and i decided that i will build 6 PBN's for 6 site (1 network per site).

- Is that a good thing to do?
- What are some other ways i can utilize the PBN's? Sending just 1 link from a $300 domain isn't cost-efficient. Can i also link to guest posts from that site? (Link to the guest posts pointing to my money site, or any other money site of mine).

Right now, my process is as follows:
I buy the domain, wait for it to be transfered to my account. I put up wordpress/restore from wayback and add around 5-6 posts to it. After it gets indexed, i add a new post with my link to it. Is this the correct way?

Better late than never, as they say lol

The way I see it, the game of PBNs should be played as a means of growth. Just like you invest in any other sort of advertising/branding or simply buy more traffic or eyeballs to your site or product.

Gone are the days when you could invest $3k in PBN domains and get a 300% ROI by linking to your sites.

Are PBNs moving the needle? Absolutely.

Does it work as simple as linking to your site and expecting ROI? No.

I'd suggest building topically relevant PBN clusters and not multi-purposing them or linking from the same PBN domain to multiple sites in different niches.

While PBNs still = links and Google needs links to rank content, PBNs as a means of getting links aren't suitable for all industries/niches these days.

Right now, the way I see it, PBNs are still rocking SERPs in non-mainstream niches where getting links via guestposts or outreach is very difficult or close to impossible.

Talking about gambling, pharma, adult, CBD/vaping, etc

Hi Alex, how are you linking to your money sites from the PBNs?
Do you post full length articles on the homepage? Do you put your link high up in the post and use post excerpts with html tags intact. Or do you only put links in inner page articles?

My biggest issue right now is getting my PBN posts to index. These are sites with solid backlink profiles as well and I'm putting lots of effort (usually ~2 hours per post) and still not getting indexed. Therefore, I've resorted to using 200 - 300 word article excerpts on the homepage with HTML tags to get homepage links.

Do you have a reliable method to get your posts indexed?
