Hi,

I am planning to build backlinks for my new website. I understand there are high authority websites like Forbes, Inc etc. and I know backlink from such websites are real gold. But I am also focusing on building backlinks from DA20-30+ sites. Now my question is what other things I shall consider along with DA of a website before purchasing / exchange a link from it?

Also, what tools should I use to check how genuine a website is ( considering many DA20+ sites to be garbage)?

I hope I could explain my question well. Now, I am looking for suggestions from experienced people in link bulding.

First - stop using DA. Get an Ahrefs.
Generally look for websites with decent traffic for keywords in your niche and decent link profiles, that did not sell links to everyone and his dog.

Hey mate, you can use free semrush service to check traffic.
It's not always 100% accurate, and it often lags behind a bit in regards to actual statistics, but it's good enough for analyzing websites when searching for links.

I wouldn't recommend using DA....traffic is a much better indication, IMO.
Other then that, check for relevant/authority backlinks pointing to the site.

Ahref & SEMRush both are good in this case. To gain high quality back links your content should be link worthy. create brand new content and approach them for a link.
