Should I disavow links on Search Console?

I have a website for 3 years now and until recently, I had all sort of pages indexed by a google, such as tags and even links that will open a image when you click on it.

Of course none of these were ranking, and I don't want them to rank cause they don't provide any value.

However, about a month ago or so I used yoast plugin to no index everything except posts,pages and categories.

I put no index on archives, tags, media etc..

My question is:

Should I remove these urls manually from the google index via search console, or will Google remove them from index after few months?

I don't really care about those pages being indexed or not, I just feel like having them no indexed will be better overall as they don't provide any value to the visitors.

Google will remove these pages from index slowly as you have put no-index tag.

Disawow links are not for this purpose mate.

Removing them manually will speed up the process. Still, it’s not necessary, as Google will eventually remove them from the index.

As others said, you can wait. Or else you can manually deindex all pages to make it quicker.

Maybe I have used wrong word, I know you disawow bad links that you don't want google to count as part of you backlinks, for example, when somebody is doing negative SEO on your website.

English is not my first language but Disawow means, according to google, "deny any responsibility or support for". So maybe it is not used in search console when we are talking about links of our own website, but I think people here are smart enough to know what I mean when I say disawow unnecessary pages of my website from google.

It's funny how people only try to find mistakes of OP, but don't really answer their questions. I guess boosting that post count is a must-do, isn't? It's ok to say why the OP (in this case me) made a "grammar" mistake, but couldn't you take 10 seconds extra of your time, to answer my questions and provide value to this forum?

as you alter your website eventually google only keep what website links are current.

when google index your website with your sitemap info the old links will be dropped .

for backlinks disavow them ok.

backlinks are stuck to the domain not the website it self ok.

That is not what disavow is used for.

I didn't mean disavow as a tool, rather, as a general english word.

Disavow should be deleted... Its just a way of snitching on webmasters and you will always disavow quality links ALWAYS. There is no negative score for bad links so what you worried about?

Its more funny that you mistakenly used some other word which is totally used it for different reason and I made it cautious. But instead accepting your own mistake , you are trying to preach me. @AntiHacker - for bad links, do NOT use disavow tool. it does more damage than good. only use disavow tool when google gives you a penalty mesg in search console

I respect your decision to correct me about one word, english is not my first language, but you should also answer my question if you criticized me for it, not just criticize me. Truth is, you didn't bring any value to this thread.

Streact369 said the same thing as you, but he provided value by answering my question as well. And I thanked him, and he liked my comment.

if it hacked pages ..set no index if the page is still up ..but if the page removed set them to 410 or 404 ..let the bot crawled after that block the directory using robots txt

It is not hacked pages, I explained that. I also explained they are not removed, and that I put no index on those pages via yoast SEO plugin. Thanks anyway for trying to help.

The best thing i ever read. Added all spam domains in disavow tool and the day after my ranking dropped from 1-5 positions to 40-60. Removed the file after 2 days but after 10 days ranking still not recovered.
