How much backlinks is too much?

Imagine the natural link building process. You don't want to have a new site suddenly bombarded with 100s of links, you feel me? Seems crazy and the Big G can definitely notice inconsistencies with your site. If you only have 1 link type like PBNs only, or blog comments only etc it can fuck up your profile so keep it natural and diversified.

you should try to mix your backlinks with web2.0 or guest posts instead of doing only posts on forums. A pattern is always bad

Would advice you to build links at a certain velocity, say, a couple a day/week. This would look more natural to Google than building many at a go.

You also don't want to forget social signals. They work like a charm when used alongside linkbuilding. Just make sure to dripfeed them.

Edit: Linkdiversity is also critical!

I think that’s probably too much. As mentioned in the previous posts, bad backlinks can really hurt SEO. It’s better to have a smaller number of high-quality backlinks from websites with high DA than a bunch of forum backlinks.

Hi, guys. I've started posting backlinks on my LP and I expected something good from it. But right now it is lower in index than it was before. And now I think, that there were too much backlinks.
For now there are almost 1400 backlinks, every day I post 10-30 links on forums with different DA.
What do you think about it? Have I posted too much?

You might want to slow down with the forum comments unless they are all quality content.

If they are all quality keep building them at the same velocity as they should all be decent links and drive traffic/rankings over time. If you have that many links to your site already 10-30 is not an outlandish amount.

If you can afford it publish a cheap press release. I know at least one vendor in the marketplace will do one for 19 bucks.

I think part of all the google dance is to try and scare seo people into stopping what they are doing.

One month in it very normal after starting to link build to see a drop before the rise... That being said if you have been slightly spammy with your forum commenting definitely slow down Goodluck and come back and update us after rankings change again! That way we can all understand the big G a little better.

Google is always changing so your case study is very valuable and extremely relative.

Keep on mind that 5% of shit link can fck you up..

As per my experience, it doesn't matter how many backlinks have your website, a real matter is how many high-quality backlinks have your website it is real fact. So, don't focus on much more backlinks, focus on only those website where you can get do-follow backlinks.

I have a few links ranked on first page of google, would these be considered good backlinks?

And if so, does less backlinks - but higher quality, work better than more backlinks with lower quality?
