Hello! I have been on BHW on and off for a while now but recently been on here daily. I am lucky with where I work as I can open BHW and just read it for most of the day, this also means I can manage a blog/website or anything else online really.

I have a few paths that I want to go down in terms of making money.

1. Local web design agency. I have been building websites for a good few years now and have built around 5/6 websites for people (Just via word of mouth/friends/family) My mum really wants me to pursue this as my main career and so do I however i often worry about getting customers as I am very shy when it comes to talking to people on the phone BUT that is something I am just going to have to learn.

2. Freelance web design on Fiverr. I'm not sure if I should be buying reviews on Fiverr and doing that as I don't need to talk to people and can still build websites but when running an agency I can charge more and earn money monthly for maintaining websites & Social media management.

3. POD website. I THINK I have a good idea for a website that I can monetize with print on demand products and I know how to drive traffic to it BUT I keep doubting it. I already have a domain and theme but am yet to start it. I want to get advice from someone to see if it is realistic but am scared to give away the idea if you are staff or well known and would give me some advice on it I would love to talk about my idea.

4. I have 1 domain for a blog/amazon affiliate site but think the niche is too small & an idea for another affiliate website but I know this is not something I can just do right away and expect an income.

But remember I am at work and can open things up in the background so can probably spend a good amount of time per day working on my own shit.

After I work 4/5 days a week, pay travel & housekeeping I am left with about £70/$85 and I have to pay £75 housekeeping so anything more than that would be great lol.

How can you doubt your methods if you never stuck with one and rode it to the end ;)

I would go with one because that's what I'm doing and especially start learning local SEO :D unless you live in my country then don't go with 1 gheghe jk

2 good luck with that

3 is nice but to do it right would require more investment which you can earn with one ;)

Yeah i know a good bit about local SEO but not to the point where i would charge but i am learning, plus i think number 1 is the most career worthy out of all of them.

Thanks for your input.

Also, I'm guessing by you saying good luck with that you mean I have no chance?

Going to focus on my web design company while looking for clients I will work on my POD website.

I think this a problem most IM people deal with. Stick with it, get good at it, get great at it, and you will be fine, whatever you decide to do.

This is me, my impatience and frustration keep me from focusing on one thing and I end up not seeing one project through to the end. I just try to keep focused everyday by keeping track of daily tasks I need to do and just keep looking at the end goal. But it's really hard man. Just now, I'm looking at another new thing I could try and making plans for that already, I've already slapped my face a couple of times.

Do your own research, compare all of them in term of demand, market value, competitor, risk, etc.
Stick to the one. Once you make enough profit, that's when you started to venture into other method.

You're competing with people that undercut the price to a point it's not worth it.

I'm telling you, if you want to do both the right way you shouldn't have time for one another until you can hire people.

So, looking for clients, that means your website that is a presentation of you and your service is finished right, send me a PM with URL, I want to take a look.
