Sorry for the newb question, SEO is not my area of focus.

Have a new client that handled the launch of a new version of their site poorly. They have old versions of pages that still get lots of traffic (like 50% of total for that page).

Suggestions for the best way to handle this? I'm not sure if I'm suppose to 301 redirect the traffic from the old page to the new one and/or noindex the old page?

I'm concerned about losing the traffic that's somehow still going to the old pages.

Thanks!!

301 redirection from old page to new page is the best thing to do. No need to add a noindex.

Thanks moneyflower! Do you also reach out to anyone linking to the old page and ask them to update the link?

If you can, but you don't really have to as the juice will flow through. The most important thing is to ensure that it is a 301 redirect.
