Google ads smart bidding vs external company

Hi,

We currently use an external company who have a google shopping tool which basically runs our google shopping campaign using machine learning and tries to target an ROI that we decide. They obviously charge us a fee for this service.

But seeing as Google Ads has smart bidding, and an option to target ROAS, do you think we should leave the external company and just run the smart bidding through Google Ads itself?

Smart bidding you can use after 100 conversions if I remember correctly. When you will have them, google will work so nice. But don't forget before using some new strategies split test them with google experiments, they will show you which strategy is better for your type of business.
