Yoast SEO - Focus Keyphrase

Hey ya'll,

I'm having a tough time getting my focus keyword(s) to be anything other than red. I was hoping for some insight from you good folks?

My site is brand new.

Attempted focus keyword(s): Digital marketing agency

SEO title: How would your business grow with 30 leads a month? (company name)

Meta Description: Digital marketing agency in (city, state) specializing in branding, social media campaigns, chatbots, and lead generation.

Oh god, No need to pay attention to that shit. Just use it 2 time in the first two paragraphs and rest depend on you how aggressive you want to go.

No? That's a bit of a relief. I was pulling my hair out trying to get that bastard to turn green!

While there is no need to obsess about getting the green lights in Yoast SEO analysis, I still like to do it as much as I’m able. Here is how you can get the green light:
1. Include the keyword in your SEO title — your title doesn’t have the keyword in it and this is probably why the light is still red
2. Include it in the meta description — you’ve done that well
3. Include it in one or two subheadings
4. Use the keyword in the first paragraph
5. Have a couple of sentences in the rest of the article that feature the keyword
6. Use the keyword in image alt descriptions
If you cover all these steps, the light will be green. However, the required keyword density depends on the length of the text, so longer articles need more instances of the keyword.

Yoast can't rate the quality of your content. Make sure the page has better, more "satisfying", content than the sites currently ranking in the top 10.

You’re welcome. Still, as M.C. Histemine mentioned, the Yoast green light is not enough. Your content needs to be relevant and premium quality if you want it to rank well. Yoast is not as important, but it certainly helps with on-page SEO, especially if you’re a beginner and don’t know where to start.
