I got a client who I'm doing social media marketing for.

They decide to block people who have beards or look slightly emo (not sure why his engagement was going up ,so it was targeted fine) and keeps bitching about how "you could send other followers"(fucking prick) .

Then he bitches that I don't send enough followers. Mind you he's only paying 25$ a month for a trial and suppose pay around 500$ next month(doupt at this point).

Sucks though he's really talented at music and I know he could be popular with enough time .

Should I try to explain another time that "I can't control " if they have a beard or look slightly emo again or just drop him when his time is up? I really don't get his fucking problem. I can't manually look at people for that price and I explained it to him that all I can do is target by age, gender, all that. I explained that he only paid me for a trial and If he wants that kind of work , he will need to pay for manual work.

Your $25 test must have to blow people away for them to pony up 20 times more at the end of the month. If anything I think you are devaluing the final product with such a low test price. If they cant afford more for a test what makes you think they can afford 20x more for the ongoing service. The red flags should be flying high if people spend such a low amount on a test. Sounds like you need to cut them loose.

Also just curious but what exactly do you do for them for $0.83 a day? Surely any form of social media marketing or services can not be worth doing for that no matter where you live. I'm all for giving specials to get clients but this sounds like it is more trouble than it is worth.

He has the money but if he's willing to spend it is another story (he has a new gutair each week) . I'm starting to think I should do 100$ and up from now on like I was. I thought I could make some extra cash for test accounts but I guess thoes kind of clients are just pricks.

I'm starting to agree with you , this guy can't be helped. He's too busy spending his money on equipment he dosnt need and worrying about beards and emos(mind you alot emos like this music).

People need to have a realistic expectation. You can't say to someone I need 20k followers, but they need to not include men with beards, goths, men with man buns, men with ginger hair, women with ginger hair, etc etc.

Especially as @William702 says, for the price of a lunch for 2 of you.

Lol I dont like his attitude but if he will pay next month 500$ I would take the shot and try to keep him your client.

I just can't believe this..I never met someone this fucked up before. Even cheap clients(100$ a month clients)

Fuck him, he will find out soon enough that without proper marketing you just a number and proper marketing cost money! My prices for Social Media start at €99 and that is just 1-2 posts a week and configuring the page.

Geez wish I had that kind of sales skills to get thoes kind of clients (one day I will ). Best I got is 100$ for follow/unfollow with a bot. Rest want a lot of shit or doing child method for higher prices. I might try charging what you charge and find Germany people(they seem to have cash) .

It's funny how the cheap clients are pricks and the high end ones don't give a fuck usually.

I got a ton of upsales also hahaha can't really tell yet if that will work out because currently my clients are mainly for webdesign en SEO and I have just one client whoes FB page I've been managing since januari and I got a special arrangement with him but yeah, just bring quality and good support so you get known more and more and you will be fine.

In my country the competition is huge and getting more and more each year but nevertheless plenty of work to find :)

I was just about to say the same thing. I have had clients that paid $1,500 a month just to monitor three social media accounts. I didn't even have to do anything, this was just to notify them of any messages, comments complaints etc. Higher paying clients are always a lot easier to work with. I get more problems from little old ladies ordering $5 services on Fiverr than I ever got from 2 years of that client.

You can find better clients.

I quoted someone 2 1/2 weeks ago for some content ( 3k words ) gave them a price and then sent them the email based on their exact requirement. Price was £95 per 1k words.

Guy came back for a discount as I knew he would and I told him it was discounted down from £100 per 1k words.

His next reply was 2 days later saying he'd got someone for half the price.

Today he emails again, in a panic because his 'cheap' writer let him down as he has too much work on.

I've explained I'll get back to him with a TAT, price is back to £100 per 1k words and it's upto him again this time if he wants to pay my rate in future ( or pay £95 + £45 per 1k words as he'll have done this time around ).

Yeah and keep growing my personal so I can prove I can do marketing ;). Seems to help a lot when you have some influencer page .

Also I've noticed that. Worth it if you do find someone though. They are normally better than American clients(not so stuck up ) .

Ouch . Cheap shit gives cheap results.

It shouldn't be a problem being frank with your client some times you don't want to seem like you like to kiss their a** especially if they're paying that low at the moment.
