How to discover a PBN

Hey guys, there is an issue.

I know for sure that my competitor is using PBN (it's clear in ahrefs)

How can I find sites (at least one) from a PBN

any tools? methods?

You can search for the actual HTML/CSS source code of their backlinks. You can use https://nerdydata.com/ to search source code of sites..... think Google but instead of searching content, it looks at source code. So all you need to do is figure out possible anchors and source code methods of their anchors and search that... boom.

If you have one domain from the PBN check if they are blocking in robots.txt popular crawlers. They could be hardblocking them from the headers also.
But if not, you can reverse engineer one of the links they are linking from to see other possible sites that are linking to.
Also you can check the neighbourhood of the domain, some people create multiple pbn sites in the same server for some strange reason

But if they are wise enough on PBN, you are not going to get anything except from one of the sites... this is the magic of cleaning the footprint.

While I understand the desire to see HOW somebody is ranking, 99/100 times the fact is that if you're experienced in SEO you have a pretty good idea anyway. Don't waste too much time digging when you could be building your own links instead. Even if you had a master list of every link to every site on the internet you'd still need to build yourself up. So while curiosity in natural, don't get too too caught up in it. All you need an idea of is what types of links you need to buy for your PBNs and you're solid.

Honestly, I wouldn't care that much. Powerful PBNs are the one that have related domains to your niche, unique, native and original content that is around the domain name (not exactly your project), custom made logos, hidden from Ahrefs, Moz, Majestic, Semrush, etc ... obviously, need to have clean link portfolio, additional pages like privacy policy, etc ... generally, as long as they look like mini money sites, you'll do wonders with them.

If you can find a PBN then it's no longer a proper PBN.

PBN's need to look unrelated.
